For the record, this is my first ever attempt at homebrewery. The stats have been creatively interpreted from Wookieepedia, as I have nothing more official to base it on. (I know, I'm a hack.)


TIE/sa bomber

The TIE/sa bomber (also known as the “TIE bomber”) is a large, heavily armored variant of the basic TIE/in fighter, designed for attacking surface targets and capital ships. While the TIE bomber sports much heavier armor and armament than its fighter cousin, it is much slower and less maneuverable as a result. The twin-hulled bomber is unshielded, and often requires a fighter flight to escort it to its target.

Well first off, I have to say the size looks wrong. According to the revised edition Tie fighters are Diminutive and Tie bombers are not a whole lot larger than the Tie so it should be Tiny, maybe small. But then again I’m referring to Revised edition not saga. So I dunno if they changed the scaling or anything.

Also the speed looks wrong, unless they sped up all the other fighters. Tie bombers have about the same speed as a Y-wing. Another thing I noticed is that you gave it a cargo capacity of 15 tons. That’s a whole lot. Tie fighters are notorious for being bare bone ships. They really wouldn’t have that much cargo space, I mean the Tie fighter only carries 65 KG of cargo. Keep in mind Cargo space and magazine capacity (for the torpedo launchers) are different things. Unless they changed the ships THAT much between the two editions…

Other than that, I like what I see.

They changed the size. I believe the ships work on the same size scale as characters now, and the TIE fighter is now Huge.

The maximum athmospheric speed is official, and originally from West End Games. It is also about on par with the stock YT-1300, so I pretty much yoinked the square speeds off that. (The bigger is the character scale speed in 1.5 meter squares, the lower in abstract starship scale squares.)

15 tons is a whole lot, I know. I ripped it off Wookieepedia without thinking it through. It is obviously meant as the maximum capacity of the bomb bay. (Well, at least we know how much propaganda pamphlets one can fit in there.)

TIE/sh shuttle

The TIE/sh shuttle (also known as the “TIE shuttle”) is a modified version of the twin-hulled TIE bomber. It is used to carry low-ranking Imperial officers between capital ships or installations. Unlike most other TIE series craft, it is equipped with landing gear and a life-support system.

For a tougher challenge, I suggest adding levels in either Soldier or Noble. The former will boost her combat prowess, while the latter will make her whole flight more deadly. (That is, if you're willing to allow having the ally's ship in one's LoS is enough for the purposes of the Noble talents.) If you want a shuttle pilot instead, just swap out her flight suit and replace it with a uniform, a comm link and a code cylinder.

Semi-conversionish. I just had to up the "correct" hit points a bit, as I just can't see this beauty as fragile as a stock CR90 corvette.

Notes: The Starspeeder-3000 is a small freighter used by many transport companies throughout the galaxy, mainly for passenger transport. Some transporters don't like it due to its odd shape, resembling a long box. This is merely an aesthetics question because it could be a pretty good ship for trading. It has a better than average hyperdrive which gives it a head start over other vessels with a similar purpose. It excels even at sublight speeds and it can go toe to toe with any fighter when it comes to maneuverability. Also, cargo space should be enough for a small scale independent captain. On the other hand, it is poorly armoured and has fairly weak shields, making it vulnerable to attacks, so it is not meant to be used in the more dangerous systems. So, although it could be used as a trading ship, the Starspeeder-3000 is really designed for routine safe journeys, such as passengers traveling between two systems or tourism. It doesn't even need a pilot. With the optional aid of an astromech droid who fits in its own socket on top of the ship, it can be piloted by the dependable RX droid. The production companies responsible for the RX-series gave the older but proven RX an overhaul to fit snuggly in the cockpit, leaving as much room as possible for the passengers. Its personality makes sure they have an enjoyable time but when it comes to flying, the RX means serious business. Models adapted especially for passenger transport have features such as seats with extra padding and incorporated holo-viewers so they can watch the latest shows or follow up on the stockmarkets. There is even a basic dispenser of food and beverages suiting the taste of the majority of sentients but it is not designed for the more demanding passengers. Although comfortable, the Starspeeder-3000 lacks the luxury or the streamlines of other ships.

Capsule: Nova-Drive is a small Mid-Rim ship manufacturer that sells most of its small range of freighters in systems along the Rimma Trade Route. It does not design its own models, instead licensing or purchasing designs from other firms and manufacturing modified versions for niche markets.

Nova-Drive sub-licensed the manufacturing plans of Corellian Engineering Corporation's YT-1200 a few months after the latter company phased it out in favor of later production models. Though CEC deemed the line too dated for active production, Nova-Drive saw an opportunity to upgrade the design to make it competitive with current offerings in the independent spacer market.

The hull was stretched and reinforced, allowing for more powerful engines, larger cargo bays, and more spacious living quarters. The 3-Z is as fast at sublight speeds as a stock YT-1300, and features some moderate improvements over the YT-1300--the central-dorsal mounted sensor dish provides an excellent scanning radius; the standard port-starboard mounted laser cannons provides excellent forward-above-below-rear firing arcs; and the forward-opening cargo bay allows easy access to the cargo bays. Additionally, the cockpit featured a more open cockpit canopy than the YT-1300, and the primary escape pod is in the primary crew area.

Because Nova-Drive did not have to include R&D costs in the price tag, the Nova-Drive 3-Z is priced very competitively. CEC has been surprised to discover that its cast-off design, revamped and upgraded, is giving its current YT offerings a run for their money.

Yes but that "Custom Modified TIE Fighter" looks like a TIE V38 Sentinel and lets not forget the TIE Defender was kinda insane.
