Never made homebrew races before, and I'm developing for a setting where it never stops raining and the vast majority of the land has been completely flooded. With that in mind, please give me whatever feedback you feel is necessary.

Half-Nix:
The supernatural hybrid of a Nixie and a humanoid race. Short and comely, Half-Nixes are almost universally of slender build. Their skin is usually some shade of green, occasionally blue or grey, and scaled and slightly elongated. Many carry the unnatural aura of the fey; this can manifest itself as breathtaking beauty, unimpeachable innocence, or even a kind of subtle predatory glare.

Ability Scores. A Half-Nix gains a +2 to Charisma and a +1 to Dexterity.

Age. A Half-Nixe's lifespan seems at least partially dependent on their humanoid ancestry. Half-Human Nix's reach maturity at fifteen and can live for over 150 years, but Halfling and Dwarven Nix's do not reach maturity until forty, and it may take 250 years before they reach their natural death.

Size. Half-Nixes stand at about four and a half to five feet tall. Your size is Medium.

Movement. Your base walking speed is 25 feet, and you have a Swim speed of 30 feet.

Amphibious. You may breath water as well as air. This is a magical effect.

Darkvision. A Half-Nix has the impeccable sight of the fey. You have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim lighl. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Serene Grace. Once per short rest, a Half-Nix may gain advantage on any Dexterity-based check. This ability increases to 2/short rest at 10th level.

Nixie's Kiss. Once per long rest, a Half-Nix may bestow a kiss upon a living creature, granting them the effects of a water breathing spell.

Faint Ancestry: Regardless of how they might look, a Half-Nixie is still at least partially a Human, Halfling or Dwarf. Choose one of three effects to represent your character's heritage:
-A Half-Nix with Human ancestry gain proficiency in one skill of their choice and gain a bonus language.

-A Half-Nix with Halfling ancestry gain advantage on saving throws against fear and may move through the squares of Medium creatures without provoking Opportunity attacks.

-Dwarven Half-Nixie's gain a Dwarf's resilience against poison and Tool Proficiencies.

Imp Gargoyles:
Smaller, lighter, and with skin more clay-like than their now seafloor bound brethen, Imp Gargoyles are much better suited for life in the endless rain and sea. Their most common skin tones are reddish brown, tan brown or light gray, and their features are often orcish or demonic, though more bizarre ones have been found. They are entirely hairless.
Ability Scores. Imp Gargyoles gain a +2 to Constitution and a +1 to Dexterity.

Age. For now, a gargoyle's lifespan is indeterminate. They are aging, as far as most physicians can tell, but the oldest gargoyle one could find is over 600 years old and has only a few wrinkles to show for it. Gargoyles gestate in eggs for little over a year, and take twenty-five years to reach maturity.

Size. An imp gargoyle ranges in size from 3 to 3 ½ feet tall. Your size is Small.

Movement. An imp gargoyle has a base walking speed of 25 feet, a fly speed of 30 feet and climb speed of 20 feet.

Breathless. You do not need to breath to survive. You must still eat and sleep, however.

Stone Sleep: Imp Gargoyles return to their statuesque origins in slumber. While sleeping or unconscious, Your already tough skin manifests a layer of thick concrete, and you gain resistance to all physical damage. However, breaking out of your shell isn't easy, and it requires 2 full turns for a Gargoyle to rouse from their sleep. This effect is activated upon magical slumber as well as normal sleep.

Stony Resistance. You gain resistance to Acid and Cold damage.

Sink Like A Rock. Though you never drown and you are lighter than others, an imp gargoyle is still too heavy to comfortably swim. You have disadvantage on all Athletics checks to swim, and if you do not at least attempt a check each round, you sink ten feet.

Buzzing In Ear. While flying, you impose disadvantage on Opportunity attacks against you.

Why don't half-nixies get Fey Ancestry? There's an awful lot more fey in them than the average elf...

And you might want to consider renaming 'Breath of the Bog'. It sounds somewhat off-putting. :smallfrown:

I thought Fey Ancestry might unbalance them, since they can already have advantage on dexterity saves and fear or poison saves.
And yeah, I guess I'll just call it "Nixie's Kiss", which seemed a bit too on the nose, but eh.
