Alignment: Any Chaotic
Hit Die: 1d8

Class Skills:
The pyrokineticist’s class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Climb (Str), Concentration (Con), Craft (any) (Int), Intimidate (Cha), Jump (Str), and Psicraft (Int).
Skill Points at 1st Level: (4 + Int modifier) × 4
Skill Points at Each Additional Level: 4 + Int modifier

Weapon and Armour Proficiency
Pyrokineticists have no proficiency in any weapons or armour except the ones that they make using their own class features.

Fire Lash (Ps)
A pyrokineticist gains the ability to fashion a 15-foot-long whip of fire from unstable ectoplasm as a move-equivalent action. She takes no damage from a fire lash she creates, and if she releases her hold, it immediately dissipates. The lash deals 1d6 points of fire damage, plus 1d6 per two levels, to a target within 15 feet on a successful melee touch attack. A pyrokineticist can take feats such as Weapon Focus and Weapon Specialization (if she otherwise meets the prerequisites) in conjunction with the fire lash, as well as any feats that apply to the use of a standard whip. The whip remains in existence as long as the pyrokineticist holds it.

Pyrokineticists can wield two fire lashes (or more, if they have more hands or other usable limbs) at once, and they only take penalties for light weapons if they use the two-weapon fighting option with them. Fire lashes don't go away in a null-psionics field, but they deal no damage in one. You can still make trip attacks with the whips, though.

Bolt of Fire (Ps)
In place of any attack, a pyrokineticist can launch a bolt of psionically manifested fire at any target in line of sight within 60 feet. This effect is treated as a ranged touch attack and deals as much damage as a fire lash. Much like fire lashes, bolts of fire are treated as light for dual-wielding purposes. They are completely unusable in a null-psionics field.

Fear No Fire (Ex)
At 4th level, a pyrokineticist becomes highly resistant to fire, gaining a +8 bonus on all saving throws against fire and heat spells and effects and also gaining resistance to fire 20.

Control Flame (Ps)
From 6th level, a pyrokineticist can use a maximally-augmented version of Control Flames (ML=class level) as a psi-like ability.

Nimbus (Ps)
Beginning at 8th level, a pyrokineticist can activate this ability as a free action. Flames that harm neither the pyrokineticist nor her equipment engulf her entire body. While she is aflame, the character’s Charisma score increases by 4, and she gains damage reduction 5/-. If she is struck in melee, the attacker takes 2d6 points of fire damage. This ability lasts until turned off as another free action, and can be restarted or removed at-will (but can't be turned off and on or on and off in the same round).

Firewalk (Su)
Beginning at 10th level, a pyrokineticist can literally walk on air. She moves at her normal speed in all directions, including vertically, but cannot move more than double her speed in a round. A firewalking pyro leaves footprints of flame in the air that disperse in 2 rounds, but her tread does not deal damage.

She can only do this for one minute every five.

Searing Flames (Su)
From 12th level, the pyrokineticist ignores everyone's fire resistance and immunity except her own. She is now immune to all fire-based attacks, but not vulnerable to cold.

Conflagration (Ps)
At 14th level, a pyrokineticist gains the ability to create a massive burst of raging flames around herself, burning everything in the area. Once per day, as a standard action, she can use this ability to deal 1d6/level points of fire damage in a 30-foot-radius burst emanating from herself. Any creature or object caught in the burst can make a Reflex saving throw (DC 10 + half the pyrokineticist's level + the pyrokineticist’s Cha modifier) for half damage. Anyone failing the Reflex save against the conflagration must also make a Fortitude saving throw (same DC) or die due to extreme shock from the intense heat.

Blazing Trail (Su)
From 16th level, the pyrokineticist can choose each time she moves to create a fire-based energy wall, as the power, in her wake. The wall turns when she does, rises and falls with her, and even follows her through a gate spell. She can't concentrate on the energy walls, though.

Volcano (Ps)
At 18th level, the pyrokineticist gains the ability to cast volcano (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=20361052&postcount=4), by herself, once per week as a psi-like ability.

Burning Memories (Ps)
At 20th level, the pyrokineticist gains the ability to cast burning memories (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=20361052&postcount=4), by herself, once per week as a psi-like ability.

I've always thought the main problems with Pyrokineticist (Not advancing any of the abilities it requires for entry) could be fixed by removing those prerequisites.

As a base class, I think this works really well, and I want to play it!
