Introduction:
Do you want a character that looks like a demon/devil? Do you want to have a lower LA than say, a succubus? Do you want the former two things without a required alignment? Then this may be the race for you! I made this because I thought it might be fun to have a race with a plethora of physical options, but one unifying name. I named them "territes" after the greek word for monster. This race is not an outsider, but instead count as a monstrous humanoid. They have no real spell-like or supernatural abilities, just extraordinary ones. What's more is that there is a lot of room for variety with this race. One can either roll up a random territe, or pick and choose if the DM sets a limit on the additional body parts (keep reading for a more in-depth description). The core concept here is getting to look like an evil outsider without having to be one.

Territe

+2 Strength, +2 Constitution, +2 Charisma, -2 Dexterity
Monstrous Humanoid
Medium: As Medium creatures, territes have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
Territe base land speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision: Territes can see in the dark up to 60 feet. Darkvision is black and white only, but it is otherwise like normal sight, and territes can function just fine with no light at all.
Automatic Languages: Common. Bonus Languages: Abyssal, Draconic, Giant, Gnoll, Goblin, Infernal, Orc, Ogre, Troll.
Alignment: Any
Level Adjustment: Varies, see text.

Level Adjustment:
The level adjustment of a territe character varies based on how many additional body parts they have as each of these grant them a special quality or ability. For details on the correlation between the number of additional body parts and the level adjustment that comes with it see Table: Territe Number of Addition Body Part Rolls and Level Adjustment.

Territe Physiology:
Terrrites have the physical appearance of demons and devils, but despite this are a morally and physically diverse race. Their base physiology consists of:1 head, 2 arms, 2 legs, 1 torso, 2 eyes, 1 mouth, 2 hands, 2 feet, tail (3 feet long), and 2 horns.

When rolling for specific body parts, the kinds of body parts may set the minimum level adjustment to be higher that what was rolled on Table: Territe Number of Additional Body Part Rolls and Level Adjustment. In this case then the level adjustment becomes the specified minimum.

Note: If one roll's result contradicts with a previous roll then make the roll again. AC adjustments do not stack. Resistances do not stack. If you get the same result on a roll, them just re-roll it.

Assuming my MC is letting me choose body parts, does this mean I get to have a flight speed of 150 and four arms for no LA? I might consider making certain effects give LA, rather than just the total number of body parts. Four arms and flight in particular are game-changers for a LA 0 race. And I'd tone down that flight speed significantly - 150' is a lot.

Also, there's a typo in the table - I assume you mean "insulated" flesh, not "insulted" flesh, because I'm pretty sure that getting bullied doesn't increase your resistance to electricity

You have a very good point. I'm curious, what do you think would be a good solution to the LA problem?

Well, you might have certain effects scale - perhaps the wings can only be used to glide until a certain level, as per the raptoran. Or maybe the extra arms are undeveloped and can't be used to wield weapons until a certain level, but before that they offer bonuses to Sleight of Hand checks or something.

Ah so you're saying that the wings and the abilities that they'd grant could scale with the character's power level huh? That could work I guess.

Though now I'm starting to think that perhaps the more desirable attributes come with a minimum level adjustment and/or one that adds to the current one.
