What happens if a Bard takes both the Bardic Sage ACF and the Divine Bard ACF? Do they need at least a 16 in both INT and WIS to cast all of their spells, or do they just need a 16 in the ACF that is applied second?

Just a footnote in here: Everything else looks compatible, only real conflicting point is which stat in which to learn or cast a spell. It looks to me that they aren't compatible, but that would be the only reason.

The two variants are incompatible. You can't take both.

Why aren't they "compatible"?

Because they are variant base classes, which is very different from an alternate class feature. You can either be a Bard, a Bardic Sage, a Divine Bard or Savage Bard. They are four different classes and considered by the game almost as different as a wizard is from a sorcerer. The only the way that makes a 'variant base class' not an actually completely different class is that as a variant base class you qualify for all ACF the original class qualified for (providing your variant still has the feature you are trading away).

Do they still qualify for substitution levels?

Is this (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?483287-A-Game-Monk) Monk legal?

No due to compatible deities requirements and fluff and even alignment.

@Athath: the main point of contention in this is the 'learn or cast a spell' requirement.
