I'm actually looking for the Giant subtype, which you can nab from Incarnate if you're large enough.

Do you need it to be a Construct to start? There are a couple of ways to become one (Renegade Mastermaker, and - more horribly - Green Star Adept). You'd just need to find a Large race.

I need a total LA of +2 or less on a large construct race. If I can achieve it via templates, that is fine.

The lowest ECL on any large creature (regardless of type) is the Half-Ogre from Races of Destiny, at +2 LA and no racial hit dice. I don't think anything else is that low. I'm not aware of any PC-legal templates that would increase your size to large (without shapeshifting) in any book, either. Becoming a Construct is easy, though—the Dustform template turns any creature into a sandy golem for +2 LA.

If you have access to Dragon Magazine, there might be something, but at that point you could just play a +0 LA Giant and skip the intermediate step.

The lowest LA for Giants (AFAIK) are Half-Giant (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/psionicRaces.htm#halfGiants), Eneko from Secrets of Sarlona, and Taer from Unapproachable East; all of them are LA +1 and Medium-sized


In that case, try the Cyclops from (IIRC) Dragon #319.Cyclopeans are in #323, and they are Humanoids. (The only Giant in #319 is Athasian Half-Giant, LA +1)

(Unfortunately, my database don't list LAs for creatures in Fiend Folio, Oriental Adventures, and Epic Level Handbook, so Maug was filtered off with a pile of other "no listed LA" Constructs)

In theory, if you slap a Half-Ogre or Half-Minotaur template on Warforged, you will get Large-sized Construct for LA +1

If 3rd party Warcraft campaign setting allowed, then Furbolg and Tauren are Large-sized, without any extra racial HD, and LA +1; with Dustform template it will be LA +3

In my sig there's a list of every creature with a LA listed by ECL from all of 3.x.

You could also try the Pathfinder race builder to get exactly what you're after. Though converting to LA could prove problematic.
