Lawful Alignment (non-barbarian) way to gain Improved Trip without 13 Int

Is there a way other than monk levels to gain improved trip as a lawful aligned character without barbarian levels? Preferably a way that keeps full BAB.

Wolf Berserker (Unapproachable East Regional feat, requires rage but not necessarily barbarian rage)

Also lycanthropy if you can buyoff the LA and retrain the animal HD.

Important language of the feat: "Ability to rage" instead of "rage class feature." There may be other sources of rage (anthropomorphic badger?) that should still work.

Doesn't keep full BaB, but druidic avenger can be LN and gets rage.

Person Man apparently has us covered (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?36238-It-s-all-the-Rage-around-here) on ways to get rage.

Some dms rule ki frenzy counts for rage effects, some don;t, but 1 dip in sohei would get you that.


Pathfinder has the bloodrager if that's on the table.

Martial Study: Mighty Throw is similar to Improved Trip. Shape Soulmeld: Worg Pelt + Open Least Soulmeld: Hands gives you the wolf's "free trip after bite". Shape Soulmeld: Astral Vambraces + Open Lesser Chakra: Arms gives you something similar with a slam attack. A human can get a slam attack pretty cheap with the Mighty Arms graft (Faiths of Eberron).

Sorry I forgot to say that the character I was working on already has a regional feat, so he can't take another one :smallconfused:

What I'm going for is the Knock-Down Feat, which has improved trip as a pre-req.

The 3.0 Lasher Prestige class gives Improved Trip as a Bonus feat at level 2 (no prerequistes needed) and at the cost of 2 feats you can get in without losing a point of BAB.

Oriental Adventures have some classes with Improved Trip as a bonus feat; Samurai 4 is probably an easiest way to get it; also, there are Shaman 8, Iaijutsu Master 9, and Shintao Monk 3
(OA bonus feats don't negate "feat prerequisite" of feats, so indicated class levels allow also get a Combat Expertise as bonus feat)

Martial Monk can select fighter feats, while getting to ignore prerequisites. Could use that to pick up improved trip.
