Are there any good variant druids?

I'm looking for a druid with a bit more shaman theme, and was wondering if anything has been published. I'm about to join my first 5e game since it first came out, and currently only have the player's handbook and DM's guide...

5th edition stays away from large amounts of splats. Maybe you could try a Totem Barbarian or Fey Pact Warlock though.

Well, 5e does also leave a lot to the imagination.

If you want to literally turn into a bear, why not fluff it like channeling the spirit of a bear, assuming exterior bear stats, but keeping your own features, (maybe a bit more animalistic) and instead gain a spirit like aura that resembles the bear part like on the Umbra cards from M:tG. For the rest spells are spells and could be fluffed like spirits long dead doing your bidding...
