Proposing a homebrewed PrC based on the Soulcaster.

Entry Requirements
Skills: Knowledge (arcana) 8 ranks.
Invocations: Ability to use least draconic invocations.
Meldshaping: Ability to shape three soulmelds; ability to bind a soulmeld to a chakra.
Special: Breath Weapon 2d6 (or greater).

BAB 1/2, Poor Fort/Ref, Good Will, d6 HD.

Meldshaping and Invoking: As standard for PrC progressions.

Invocation Investment (Su): Invest essentia into invocations to make them more powerful. Essentia can only be invested 1/day when you shape soulmelds. The invested invocation has basic numeric effects increased by +1 per essentia invested. Using the invocation uninvests the essentia, so each "bonus" can only be used 1/day.
Max essentia invested at 1st level is 1. Max increases to 2 at 7th level.
Max number of invested invocations = class level.

Examples: Frightful Presence (+1 minute duration, +1 save DC), Humanoid Shape (no effect), Voidsense (+5 feet range), Draconic Flight (+5ft speed, +1 Con checks).

Chakra Binds: As standard.

Dragonfire Adept 1/Soulborn (AVB) 3/Dragonshaper 2 // Incarnum Dragon 6

I've speced the character to have knowledge checks through the roof and use Knowledge Devotion in every encounter. Additionally has at will detect magic/evil/chaos and can identify items as a full-round action with no material components. Pretty much meant to be the skill monkey, but there's no trapfinding...

Primary damage output is from a bite attack (natural soulblade + KnowDev + Smite + Dread Carapace = can reasonably expect +13 [1d6+17]) and breath weapons (3d6 fire || 1d8 untyped + 1 essentia damage). Question: Does Knowledge Devotion apply to breath weapon damage?

Has Gold Dragon Heritage, so I was thinking something along the lines of our characters being half-siblings.
