so in the game the a Npc will be supplying me with a 200 count Magic bolts with a +1 bonus and +3 worth enchantments to get.

my character is a crossbow sniper / monster hunter
if that helps

A handful ought be Raptor bolts (as the Raptor arrow relic). Having bolts that return to you is v. handy.
bane is an overall useful property for monster hunting (magical beast bane)
What are the enhancements on your xbow?

To add to Guigarci's comment, Bane can be set to "arcane spellcaster", with their bonus coming online against any foe who prepares or casts arcane spells.
I don't remember if having arcane spells as a spell-like ability counts or not, but I think it did.
Don't most of the monsters from CR 10 on up have the ability to cast spells? Yes, yes they do.

Edit: Magebane was in Complete Arcane, and it was fantastic, but it got a reduced power version in.... the Magic Item Compendium, I believe. Get the Complete Arcane version if you can.

You could have a lot of specialist bolts: +1 holy outsider (evil) bane, +1 anarchic outsider (lawful) bane and so on.

You'll want a goodly number of Seeking bolts. Lots of miss chances out there. After that, pay attention to enchants that only affect ammunition; you can get the Weapon enchants on your crossbow yourself.

+1 cold iron, magebane is a really solid choice. Since almost all outsiders and dragons have SLAs, it covers pretty much everything you would use outsider bane or dragonbane on.

+1 undead bane is another good option since some undead either have divine spellcasting abilities or don't have any SLAs/casting abilities.

For big bosses, you might want some +1 shattermantle, magebane bolts to help your spellcasters beat their SR.

If your DM either rules that bane can stack or that magebane is separate from the regular bane enhancement, +1 cold iron magebane, evil outsider bane, +1 cold iron magebane, dragonbane, and +1 cold iron magebane, undeadbane weapons are pretty good specialist ammunition for the +3 slot.

Splitting is a crazy broken enhancement if it can be applied to bolts and hasn't been (very deservedly) smacked with the banhammer.

Splitting isnt that bad when you take into acount requirements and the existance of DR.

so thinking stuff: the bolts you are getting are effectively 4 batches of +4 bolts: 128,000gp
get 4 raptor bolts (it is unlikely you will have more than 4 attacks per round) 24,024gp
If you eat the True Believer feat then these are Everything Bane and they will always be by your side figuring out how to boost them to more powerful levels is stumping me though

I don't see why you can't use the standard rules for improving magical items.

cause each arrow is +2 but costs 6006gp; so 3/4 what a +2 item costs, but 37.5 times what a +2 arrow costs.

Yeah, so figuring out exactly how much it would cost is definitely in ask-your-DM territory, but the principle is sound.
