Are there published weapons or shields that can transform into armor?

Where the weapon enhancement bonus or shield bonus to AC is translated into an Enhancement bonus to AC after transforming.

Can be 3.0, 3.5, PF, Dragon Magazine.



I can do something similar using the Defending weapon ability, but was hoping there's something more straightforward.

It's not tranformation per se, but I'm pretty sure the ringshield can be used as a slashing weapon - although both functionalities need to be separately enchanted (as if it were a double weapon).
