I'm using an Inspiron 3520 laptop that I've had for a few years...
And the last month or so, it dramatically dims a few seconds after start up/waking up.
Supposedly, all brightness settings are set to max, but maybe I'm goign to the wrong ones.
I'm running windows 8(not 8.1, 7,. or 10), and did check my power preferences, which say it should be at full brightness.
Anyone have any ideas? Google has provided no help so far.
edit; there's also visible blobs of light and darkness at the top edge of the screen.
