Building a grapple wrestler/BJJ

I'm trying to make a grapple build that ends its fight with a powerful slam or non-lethal (submission) finish. If anyone would be willing to help out it would be greatly appreciated.

It would be homebrew, but I just had an idea for a martial combo to mimic "Hold Person".

If you succeed on both a grapple attack and a shove-prone attack, you could convince the DM that another successful grapple attack would paralyze them (and occupy both your hands), and like Hold, each round they get a save, or contested check at disadvantage to break free

It makes it balanced I think, 3 contested checks to equal a save or suck spell.
