As a DM, I want my players to be as immersed as possible in the game, and was asking for suggestions as to how I could do that. One of my players suggested having different kinds of music for where they are. We're playing a High-Fantasy style of game, so what kind of music would fit into that kind of world? I would like to have a specific track for each scenario (i.e. One for the boss, others for exploration, one for a small town, large city, monster encounters, dungeoneering etc...) Suggestions welcome and much appreciated.

Look up the EPIC music compilations on youtube: those tend to be pretty good.

Another good marching tune is the Supreme Commander soundtrack, which you can find online as well.

A few I'm using in my campaign. Most of these aren't properly medieval but still...

Forest/Overland (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpwFWmVB03w)
Dungeon (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNIgd2ev-q4)
Super Evil Boss (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__j7cXOWZck)
Tavern (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfQWVFdV2ho)
Moment of Sorrow (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sWnEWpS_fA)

Just use what you like and what fits, really. Preferably without vocals, and melodic.

Fire emblem music as a rule is generally amazing. Id (Purpouse) is my personal favourite, and a reoccurring theme in my campaign final boss fights.

I like the Kingdom Hearts collections. They have some music for just about every circumstance.

If you like epic, check out trailerhead. Company specializes in making music for movie trailers, which we can all agree tend to be better than the movies themselves like 99% of the time.

There is a group called Erdenstern who makes all fantasy music that I have found invaluable.

They have at least 7 albums, one for Blue (water), Dark (underdark), Gold (desert), Freen (forest), Grey (Urban/modern), Red (mountain/chaos), and White (artic).

They albums are each paced to have a tavern music, conflict music, etc. These are great, and I listen to them when I'm writing my quests to set the tone, as well as in game.
