Ammon Jerro (http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Ammon_Jerro) from Neverwinter Nights 2 was clearly supposed to be a Warlock/Wizard/possibly Eldritch Theurge, but Eldritch Theurge was never implemented in game so the game is littered with references to Ammon Jerro being a wizard. Years later this has annoyed me to no end and thus this post.

Just as clearly Ammon Jerro is supposed to be an epic character, given how badass Jerro's Haven is, and his ability to bind fiends and enslave them.

So... Lets say that you have 25 levels to work from, and Ammon Jerro has to include levels of wizard and warlock, and must be able to bind fiends. How would you build Ammon Jerro?

First off, I love the NWN2 games, and secondly Warlock is one of my favorite classes.

Now, just a little something I put together real quick...

You get spellcasting as an 18th level wizard, with CL 22 (plus a bit for conjurations) and invocations as an 8th level Warlock. You get 2 epic feats at the end (I don't play epic often, and so I can't really recommend any off the top of my head). Human Paragon levels give you Truespeak and applying Adaptive Learning to the skill makes it a class skill for the rest of your career. Honestly, the Red Wizard levels are for flavor, but they advance your Wizard caster level and give a few perks, at the expense of another banned school (Necromancy and Illusion are what I would ban at first, and then take out Evocation). If I recall correctly, improving your Warlock caster level should increase your Eldritch Blast damage as well, bringing it up to a moderately respectable 4d6 (not bad for an at-will ranged touch attack. Make yourself a Warlock's Scepter and buy a Fel Chausable to increase those numbers). Brilliant Gameologists (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=9712) has a handbook on the Fiendbinder prestige class, which does pretty much what it's name says.

I probably could have min-maxxed this a little better, if I wasn't trying to fit Red Wizard into the mix, but since you gave me 25 levels, I thought it was thematically appropriate.

Wow, nice! I'm going to check out this fiend binder class.

I love NWN2 as well. Don't know why so many people don't seem to like it. I am hoping for a remake that properly implements 3.5 rules.

Just to be clear, Jerro is a warlock, and only a warlock. If you talk to him enough, he tells you he pretended to be a wizard (and one a lot weaker than he really is) because it sounded better than telling the lords of Neverwinter he consorted with demons, and he wanted to get in good with them.

Without a doubt. I was just trying to build a character to the OP's spec's.

I think it may be better to create him in 5th edition as a warlock. When I read the 5e warlock class, i had to immediately think of Amon Jerro and how this would be the perfect class for him.

In 3.5 I would make him a warlock with a few item creation feats. The Demonbinder also seems like a good inclusion which i had not though of.

I'm not sure if he's been officially statted or not, but asking over at www.candlekeep.com would be the best place to ask
