Which outsiders are the best at keeping you alive? 1 outsider for all 3 planar binding spells would be appreciated. Actually, several for each level would be appreciated since I don't know what my DM might deem too OP.

#1 position is Nightmare obviously XD.

Bar-Iguras (BoVD) are noteworthy for lesser planar binding because they have at will teleport without error with a greater carrying capacity than other demons (up to 200 lbs), so it can get you and your party out of dodge.

for Planar binding, Astral Deva and Leonal are quite good, thanks to the permanent aura (20ft) of globe of invulnerability and magic circle against evil plus other defensive bonuses. Both have a nice array of spell-like abilities based on protection, healing, and removing negative conditions where the Deva comes out on top (at will holy word and holy aura, among others), even if the Leonal 3/day wall of force is quite cool.

for greater planar binding, if they are allowed, the elemental weirds are a really solid option. The array of divinations they can cast at-will means you'll easily know what's coming for you, and knowing is half the battle, as someone said

Janni can get you out of dodge too, and they're neutral rather than (crazy) evil which makes them a better bet to rest your life on IMO. Alternately a Dapsara angel gets a few bardic abilities like saving finale plus (in the general angel qualities rather than on their own entry) magic circle vs. evil and lesser globe of invulnerability for people within 20'. Either comes via lesser planar binding.
