I think this is a real thing, but I am not sure if d&d has it.
I was watching some martial arts movie or show somewhere and thought it would be nice for something I am making. It looks sort of like a double weapon scythe, but the blades are not nearly long enough to be called a scythe - yet they are still very much long enough to be called slashing weapons.
Practically speaking, this is a horrible weapon, but in a fantasy environment, its kinda bad ass. Does anyone have a name for this thing?

You need to describe it more, really. But a start is that the Japanese version of a sickle is a kama, and both the kama as well as number of double weapons involving kama, which all have "kama" in the name. Try looking at those, and see if they're what you're looking for.

Well the best I can describe it is that it looks sort of like a double kama as far as weapons ive seen. A kama sized blade on either end attached to a long pole.

You can always ask the Real World Weapon Armor and Tactics Question (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?480058-Got-a-Real-World-Weapon-Armor-or-Tactics-Question-Mk-XX)thread about it; they know a lot.

It looks like an inverted lajatang or the spade end of a Monk's Spade

Now I'm curious. Were the 2 blades at the ends facing the same direction like an elongated "C" or were they positioned like an "S"?

Do you remember the name of the movie or the names of the characters?

Was it a Chinese, Japanese or Western movie?

Edit: A web search for "double ended kama" gave some very very un-expected results... NSFW

No idea, sorry. It may just be a fictional double-spade for all I know. This (https://www.google.com/search?q=lajatang&safe=off&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiJq_fPv5LMAhWnnYMKHS6YANwQsAQIHA&biw=1920&bih=1077#imgrc=4RP9rxmhnxmbBM%3A) may mean it's indeed a latajang, but d&d has always had a hit-or-miss relationship with historical accuracy.
