Vengeance paladin 12
Fighter 2
Draconic sorcerer 6(thunder damage)

Gwf style, when he attacks(cast elemental weapon thunder damage turn before), uses action surge to attack + quicken booming blade. Does the cantrip and elemental weapon spell both get his CHA to thunder damage then? If so his nova without burning any smite would look like this: 8d6 + 20 + 4d4 + 20 + 4d8 for his 4 normal attacks that equals 78 damage, then he quickens booming blade for another 2d6 + 5 + 1d4 + 5 + 3d8 + 5 + 1d8 = 43,5 so 121,5 damage without smiting if I understand it right?

If you want to go completely bonkers and burn all your resources in one go you could always burn 3 lvl 4 and 2 lvl 5 slots for smiting for an additional 25d8 adding an additional 112 average damage

Edit: throw oathbreaker into the mix for an added 25 necrotic damage aswell. :)

No, there's no draconic origin with thunder element.

Even if it was, you add the Cha bonus to damage only once when you cast the spell (PHB Errata). You would add it to Booming Blade (only the initial hit, though), but not to Elemental Weapon.

The resulting damage would be 4x (weapon damage + Str + 1d8 Improved Divine Smite + 1d4+1 (Elemental Weapon) + (weapon damage + Str + 1d8 IDS + 1d4+1 EW + 3d8 + Cha BB).

4x (7+5+4,5+3,5) = 80 for normal attack with Action Surge (You have a mistake in your calculations, it should be 92) (7+5+4,5+3,5+13,5+5) = 38,5 for BB

Darn you can't just have awesome things in 5e like in 3,5 if you dug through the material you could be a Goliath, half Minotaur, half dragon with few levels in war hulk and you would end up with 40+ STR and wielding a huge weapon. QQ

Thx for the clarification tho. :)

That's why some people play 3.X

Some people want to have balance and no hours planning for DMs

I want options and balanced. I prefer 4e, but nobody seems to like it

Unfortunately, no Thunder Damage Draconic Orogin... My Fighter/Sorcerer using Booming Blade wishes there was.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but casting BB uses your action, giving you only one attack that round.

the idea is to quicken it.

You still get a ton of damage every round, if you have Great Weapon Master in there somewhere even without getting cha->damage every time. You can get pretty good damage doing Green Flame Blade instead as well. Personally I'd drop the 2 fighter levels for 2 more in sorc. Get more sorcery points to fuel quicken and a few more spell options.
