You will note that in panel 5 of that comic, Belkar asserts that Barbarians Suck! We notice that ten strips later, in 132 and 133, he elects to muticlass into Barbarian. (It appears that he got one level, at most?)

Belkar has just said (retroactively) that Belkar sucks, at least partially. Might this have been the true beginning of his character development, wherein he openly acknowledged his self-loathing (in advance) :smalleek:

I wonder if we will ever learn the true secrets about the ultimate arcane powers hidden within the doily and why V does not seek them out, is it because she is now scared of magic because of her.... experiences.... with ultimate power?

Perhaps a wizard of the doily actually has access to any spell as at will spell like abilities?
