Efreeti? Why not Noble Djinni?

"A noble djinni can grant three wishes to any being (nongenies only) who captures it. Noble djinn perform no other services and, upon granting the third wish, are free of their servitude."

Unlike Efreetis, it seems crystal clear that noble djinnis are good and anyone who planar binds them gets 3 wishes. Also unlike Efreetis, the RAW clearly states those who capture a noble Djinni get 3 wishes. So why is everyone fixated on efreetis and not noble djinnis?

I believe the standard thinking is that it is ambiguous whether noble djinni are a sufficiently distinct group from regular djinni that you can specify one when casting planar binding.

That is accurate, though it's worth noting nothing at all prevents you from using planar binding every day until you hit that 1/100 chance and just using one of your three wishes each time to ask for the true name of a different noble djinn and just rolling out that way. Slower, but since your already infinite, who cares.

I don't think its ambiguous at all. Its the difference between a Troll and a Troll Hunter. They just didn't list the stats because they're nearly identical to an Efreeti's.
