Ok, so,

I'm looking for an intro or action scene music piece/song, ideally to a season of Kamen Rider or Super Sentai Force but acceptably from anything else in the genera, that would work well for a high energy charge into battle scene.

I need it for a bit of mood music for a stunt in an up coming session of a table top game. It's a somewhat comedy themed game, and I've arranged a whole bunch of Super Sentai and Kamen Rider members to show up and charge into battle at a pivotal moment. (Arranged in character, naturally.). I'm gonna be surprising the party with it, since several of them are actually somewhat into Tokusatsu as a genera and will thus get the joke.

So, recommendations, anyone?

It really depends on flavor. For example, if your game has a strongly Asian theme (e.g. samurai or ninja), I'm a big fan of Ikkan Kenjou! Shinken Gold, the Gold Shinkenger's theme from Samurai Sentai Shinkenger. On the other hand, if you want a variety of styles, Kamen Rider OOO has you covered with various themes; for example, Sun Goes Up (the SaGohZo form theme) is great for a sort of cowboy brawl flavor, with Time Judged All (the TaJaDoru theme) for more of a gothic/knightly style.

If you want multiple themes with a common motif, I'd suggest looking at the various Double-Action themes from Kamen Rider Den-O. Sword Form is great for a typical adrenaline-action sound, Axe Form for a more samurai showdown sound, Gun Form is basically rap/breakdancing, and Wing Form for when your arrogant noble type decides to grace the battlefield with awesome.

Think massive epic charge of action insanity with a stupid number of "the calvary" coming in out of left field to suddenly change the odds form overwhelmingly in the enemy's favor, too overwhelmingly in your favor. You know, the classic come from behind win.

My first instinct would be to look into the soundtracks of the large-scale crossovers. My second would be to look at series with large numbers of characters.

So here's some stuff from the Gaim soundtrack:

Basically, you're saying you need a song from the tokusatsu genre that the players might recognize?

Does it have to be from a cavalry charge scene in real tokusatsu? Or any ost is fine (like random action scene or henshin scene) as long it feels uplifting and cavalry chargy?

Anything is fine, form any series, as long as it feels suitably uplifting, high energy and cavalry Chargy.

I will however award some bonus style points if it features in an actual such seen form a Tokusatsu, is form one of the big anniversary or cross over events, or both. But that's bonus points, not primary hard and fast must meet standards.

My first recommendation is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_Cx4v3SGlw millions of me. It's an uplifting song, though not really feel cavalry chargy, I'm just linking it because the title "millions of me" sounds like a cavalry charge of friends and it's from tokusatsu (kamen rider decade, to be exact).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jf3ASPyB0tg Granas Sable from Grandia 2. It's not exactly tokusatsu, but I used it in almost similar scene with what you mentioned, it just feel that way for me. Basically, a scene where when the heroes are cornered, suddenly unexpected allies teleport in and turn the table. Not really a "cavalry charge" music, but a "cavalry appear" scene. More fantasy than tokusatsu though.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzkXyqVPpMA Apologine from Big O. Once again, it's not really cavalry charge, but for me this is the defiance song. Basically, the song that for me sounds most like the protagonist being cornered and saying "you haven't won yet" toward the villains.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92-iROXtd6A Stoner Sunshine from Getter Robo Armageddon? Similar from Granas Sable, kinda more of "cavalry appears and it's time to turn the table" rather than actual cavalry charge though.

Oh, maybe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QImBolnTVH8 One punch man opening or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBxzqne_gWg dramatic fight theme? Too obvious/soon?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqtJqKgemw4 Sunlight Yellow Overdrive theme from Jojo's bizarre adventure, though once again it's more turnabout theme rather than cavalry charge theme.

Hm, after listening all that I listed, so far the most fitting for me are the OPM themes

i'll link more if I can remember

You know what you need? Masaaki Endoh, and/or JAM Project. You know how Queen did all sorts of amazing and ballads of power and awesomeness? JAM Project is basically Queen, but for tokusatsu and anime. And Masaaki Endoh is the Freddie Mercury parallel in this. In addition to voice acting work, Endoh has personally done tokusatsu theme songs, including the opening of Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger, as well as anime themes in a similar vein, like Yuusha-Oh Tanjou from GaoGaiGar. JAM Project has also done some great themes, such as the opening to Soultaker, but the one you really need to try is GONG, pretty much the best Super Robot Wars theme ever. Give that bad boy a listen.

For triple word score, try to track down JAM Project's Victoria Cross album, in which they said, "You know what would make our epic rock even more epic? A freaking symphony."

Or, if your players got into toku specifically via Power Rangers nostalgia, Endoh covered that theme (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVEMCFjPvzY), too...

Kamen Rider Hibiki for me had a pretty epic opening theme that could work as a cavalry chargy theme, especially if the cavalry involve war drums. It could get a bit repetitive though. I second the TaJaDor Theme suggestion too. For something more operatic I'd go with an instrumental for the opening theme of Mirai Sentai Timeranger.

For something more rock-y and less repetitive, if you feel that type of music has more energy, I'd actually say The Raising Fighting Spirit (sure, it's from Naruto, but I could ignore that). The opening theme for Samurai Sentai Shinkenger also rocks hard.

I've got a soft spot for much of the original MMPR soundtrack, but that's showing my age/non-weeaboo-ness.

I forgot about hibiki opening, that's true.

No need to use naruto's rising fighting spirit, kamen rider hibiki's op is close enough to the feel, and it's actually tokusatsu :p

Alright, ladies and gentlemen, I think I have a few strong contenders that I like, now it's just a matter of me going over them all a couple of times and making a pick.

That said, I actually have a tangentially related follow up question.

This little experiment/stunt I'm getting ready to pull left me a touch curious as to what some of the original cut Tokusatsu shows were like. I've seen a fair number of the Kaiju movies the genera also includes, but I've never watched an actual none adapted Tokusatsu show before.

So, I did the obvious thing, and checked Netflicks, Hulu and Amazon Prime, figuring hey, surely ONE of them will have some of the Super Sentai and/or Kamen Rider series. Imagine my surprise when they didn't. Any of them.

So, I'm curious, does anyone know how to legally obtain them with sub titles? (I sadly don't speak japanese and thus will need at least that much. Though I watch enough subbed anime that they don't really bother me too much. )

Unfortunately, I got most of my sentai / kamen rider / power ranger viewings back in the days from local TV stations airing them (usually shown on weekends, but sometimes weekday mornings/afternoon when kids can watch them) or from our local equivalent of Cartoon Network.

Though I watch enough subbed anime that they don't really bother me too much. )Power Rangers is the official release in the West. There were two PR-style attempts to adapt Kamen Rider seasons - "Masked Rider" and "Kamen Rider Dragon Knight" - but they never took off. (they stopped translating "Kamen" because "Masked Rider" was so awful that they didn't want their second try to be associated with it)

Actually, it turned out a while back that the writers of Power Rangers Samurai were basing their scripts on Samurai Sentai Shinkenger fansubs instead of hiring a translator. Except those subs were by TV-Nihon, a group that's infamous for mistranslating major plot points and leaving entire sentences in Japanese for no reason. And... a lot of people complained about Samurai that the plots could be incoherent, like they were copy-pasting elements from Shinkenger without understanding how they fit into each other.

IIRC, general recommended intro series for Kamen Rider are Double (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Series/KamenRiderDouble), OOO (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Series/KamenRiderOOO), Kabuto (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Series/KamenRiderKabuto) (for action scenes) and Gaim (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Series/KamenRiderGaim) (for Gen Urobuchi).

I'm actually familiar with Gen Urobuchi's body of work. Enough so that I think I'll be avoiding Gaim for precisely that reason. He's had one thing he's ever done that I liked, and only it's original 12 eps because everything else I've seen of the franchise has either been overly derivative to the point of detriment, or has basically ruined an all important saving grace of the first twelve ep run. (I am of course speaking of Maho Shojo Madoka Magica franchise.).

That said, Alright, anyone have any idea were I can get an official sub of say, OOO and Double? Of the 4, those look more interesting too me. I'm not overly fond of harsh Tear-Jerkers, and I already talked about Gen Urobuchi.

Legally, of course.
