INHERITOR
Descendants of the judged

-All mortal life is subject to judgement upon death, each subject to their own fate. Some, however, find their way back to contact with the living before they achieve the pinnacle of their sentence. When such occurs, sometimes an Inheritor is created. Born of the union between the living, and the deceased, Inheritors are living beings sentenced for the activities of their forbearers. To some, it is in their favor and they are blessed by the higher planes. Others, are contended to the lower planes from birth.
-Physical Description: While all inheritors follow the same basic frame, that of their typically human mortal forbearers, each verity comes with their own assortment of traits. From the inscribed inheritors, which are pale and born with markings upon their very flesh, to the maggot inheritors, which possess sharp teeth and a completion akin to that of a maggot.
-Society and Relations: Inheritors, being born of unions between mortals and those judged in the next life, lack any true society of their own. Those born and raised on the planes of their petitioner forbearers are subject to the environments and societies there. On the material plane, those born of the higher planes tend to be received similarly to aasimar, where as those born of the lower planes tend to be received more similarly to tieflings.
-Alignment and Religion: Inheritors are born with an inclination towards the alignment of their petitioner ancestor. To those who hail from petitioner consigned to a particular patron's domain, they also possess an inclination towards the faith of their petitioner ancestor. That having been said, inheritors are perfectly capable of drifting from these inclinations, and may in time even become entirely contrary to their ancestor's form. Such individuals face peril, for their souls may not find their way to their intended fate and instead be lost forever.
