short High level campian need pc Help

so some old friends want to play D&D with my one friend and I and we all voted on a high level campaign ECL 15
and We all made the choice that we would each get a rare item for our characters (they were written on flash cards and we drew them) I Ended up getting golem armor.

SO What i'd like to know is what build
any race up to LA +2
any class as long as it fits well with armor
the fluff of the Armor is A red Escaflowne style armor
Named The Crimson Ragnarok (abit just for the name and fluff)

what build including race would best take advantage of the Armor
I mean I know melee but what one is what I can't figure out

Right, so you're essentially set up to be a melee bruiser, and regaining health is going to be difficult. You'll probably need to get out of the armour and heal once a day, which will take about two hours each time. Depending on what kind of fights you get into (hp damage or not), you're going to want some source of temporary hp. Vigour is a really good source of temporary hp. Hence: why not play a nice melee ardent?
