Druid2.0: Druid Wildshape App on Android (With freebies)

Hi guys,

I've just finished working on and deploying an app that made playing my druid a bit easier and thought I'd share with you good folks to get some feedback.

Effectively you enter in your mental attributes, proficiency bonus and Wild Shape restrictions, and it adjusts the creatures accordingly. My next step is to include the base character's proficiencies in the stat block, but I figure I'd take it one step at a time.

Anyway, if you're interested in checking it out, I actually have a few free codes (the app is AUD$0.99 in the google play store).

Please read below as I am trying to be helpful.

This is a small warning from a real life IP attorney (but not your attorney) - your app is infringing the copyright of WoTC. Specifically, all ability descriptions are verbatim copied from the Monster Manual. Ability titles, stats, creature names, CR numbers are fine, as seen in other apps.

Perhaps you won't be found out, or they won't care. However, many other monster manual type products have been sent a Cease & Desist and/or an appstore takedown.

I suggest you approach WoTC customer service about getting approval. They have been reported to offer assistance in creating a viable product. I expect you won't be allowed to charge money for the product.

Hopefully, this can also be seen as some constructive criticism for the app design itself.

More whitespace on the page boundary. Either manual indents for quick and dirty, or use a breakout box. Wrapped text looks strange when it is adjacent to the screen edge and I keep trying to scroll sideways.
Inconsistent capitalization (e.g. passive Perception)
Add some colour and font effects. Just copying the monster manual stat block design would be cleaner
Search by ability would be amazing, e.g. check box for only flying creatures
Stretch target, you could build it out to be used for the polymorph spell and various summon X spells

You're very welcome! For summons, rangers and non-druids, using the "All Wildshapes" option won't apply the profile adjustments. (Or just set the attribute values really low, as it takes the highest). I'm actually working on a set of filters to make this specific use of it much easier.

Sorry, I'm actually not familiar with Companions. But by the looks of it, Companions does very similar things to what Druid 2.0 does, although I don't think it does the Attribute and Proficiency adjustments. That being said, Companions does have a prettier interface.

1 suggestion though would be a lower range for CR selection. So you could choose a minimum and maximum CR and filter the list a little

at first glance, text is very disordered. you should sort out yhe stat block and maybe lose the lines.
after my next session I will let you know for more.
but an idea, maybe being ablr to modify the current hp, to track wildshape.
I always use calc and this could really help
