So, a friend of mine recently watched this:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4733536/

Now he came to me to help him implement the idea. The issue I currently have is that the only PrC I know of that comes close to what he wants to do is Master of the Unseen Hand. Which still doesn't really do what he wants it to do. I mean, I could recommend he just goes with Wizard or Psion and focuses on telekinetic and force effects, but what does the Playground think? Any suggestions that have a little more finesse then just 'be a caster?'

Hi - have a look at the Jean Grey thread from WotC forums.

The thread is down because WotC took down the forums, but i found the thread through the Way back machine here:
Jean Grey and Master of Unseen Hand discussion (http://web.archive.org/web/20151028144636/http://community.wizards.com/forum/previous-editions-character-optimization/threads/976801)

I hope the link works for you and you find some useful information there.

It did. I always forget Wu Jen is a thing.

Well, there isn't a whole lot to add, but just keep in mind that Master of the Unseen Hand is a down two PrC, so while it adds to the flavor, it cripples characters. Just wanted to warn you.

I'm fully aware it has been listed in the PrC tier list as down 2. As for crippling characters, I have to disagree. It specializes them towards the telekinesis spell. Thanks tho.

I recommend using it with a Ghost or Dweomervore for maximum effectiveness.

Ghost is off the table. I don't know what that other thing is.

Specialize may be an extremelly gentle word for it, you set yourself 5 levels behind by taking it completely, the day you decide to use something that isn't telekinesis you suck at it.

Also, the best move you can get out of Telekinesis is probably the Violent Thrust. 15 objects dealing 15d6 (787.5 damage :smalleek: ) each one is probably excessive, and you don't need any bad PrC for it (Although you'll have to beat the normal AC, and rolling an attack 15 times will make the whole table hate you, or your friend in this case).

You seem intent on pushing the concept you have that MotUH is a poor choice. Yes, it loses caster levels for spells other than Telekinesis. For the purposes of the character in question that is not a bad thing. Elaborate on how he will 'suck' at anything that isn't Telekinesis. Bad is a subjective term. You assume its a bad PrC because it focuses his abilities on a single spell. This is only bad when speaking from a theoretical standpoint where your wizard must be prepared for anything and everything. In reality, you have no idea if the game in which this MotUH will play will need to be a generalist. The table will not 'hate' him for rolling an excessive number of dice. That is your opinion based on zero knowledge of the gaming group in which this player participates.
