I have a fighter1/valor bard18 in my party

He wishes to cast swiftquiver and then use his lvl 18 bard ability that upon casting a spell as an action he can then attack once as a bonus action.

Swiftquiver allow the caster to shoot twice as a bonus action. Is there any synergy between these two abilities? What would you rule?

There is no synergy in these abilities. I would rule that he can cast Swift Quiver then use his action to Attack (twice due to Extra Attack), because that is the rule and it's more beneficial than anything using Battle Magic would be. Swift Quiver is also a bonus action to cast, so it and Battle Magic can't be used on the same turn it's cast or used.

No but he could take another level in fighter to get action surge which would give him 6 attacks in a round for one round.

As they said, it doesn't help. But what he should look into is Fighter 2 for Action Surge: with Swift Quiver, that makes for 6 attacks in a turn. What else could he want?

What? And give up the ASI and the 5th level bard spell slot he'd get from Bard 19?!

okey, just to make sure. If he has swiftquiver cast on himself (previous round), he still cant get two attacks as a bonus action while using battlemagic?

They are unrelated abilities. Swift Quiver allows you to use your bonus action to make 2 ranged attacks. Period, end of line. So any character regardless of other features could use their bonus action to make those two attacks while under the effects of Swift Quiver.

Battle magic allows you to use your bonus action to make a single attack if you used your action to cast a spell. Cast any spell, and you can use your bonus action to make 1 attack of any type, ranged or melee.

If you have both at the same time, swift quiver and battlemagic, then you have a choice. You may use your bonus action to make 2 ranged attacks, or you can use your bonus action to make 1 attack of any type. You still only have a single bonus action. The effects don't stack.

Turn one:
Action - whatever. attack twice (as normal).
Bonus action - Swift Quiver

Turn two: Action - whatever. Could attack twice again, or cast a spell, or whatever.
Bonus action -attack twice with Swift Quiver.

Battle magic doesn't come into it. If he did cast a spell with his action, he could choose to make an attack as a bonus action, but in the above example his bonus actions are spent casting and using swift quiver.
