On pages 56/57 of On the Origins of PCs, there are numerous NPCs that consider accepting employment with Roy. I recognise a few, but far from all.

Pg 56, 1st Row: Unknown, Unknown, Lidda(?), Legolas(?)
2nd Row: Unknown X4
3rd Row: Unknown, Frodo and Gandalf(?), Unknown, Unknown
4th Row: Unknown X4

Pg 57: 1st Row: Unknown X4 (last guy is the same as last guy, row 2, pg. 56)
2nd Row: Unknown, Elric(?), Unknown, Buffy the Vampire Slayer(?)
3rd Row: Unknown X4 (#2 and #4 are the same monster)
4th Row, 1 and 2 unknown, 3 is the laughing adventurer from row 2, pg 56 and row 1, pg 57. The 4th is Haley.

So, does anyone know who the rest are?

I know that the paladin in Roy's first group is the person that told him to be quiet in the college library.

What makes you think that might be Lidda? Looks like a generic halfling to me.

Mostly, the attitude... Lidda always came across as a smart alec. I read the T.H Lain books... When no one but her was able to speak goblin, she told the rest of the group: "Like it would kill you to learn another language!"

I can't prove it was Lidda, and it could well be a generic female halfling, but I'm just tossing out my best guesses...

What? They look nothing alike!

2nd row, 3rd column. This gnome shows up in the comic at the magic shop (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0049.html).

4th row, 1st column. Minsc from Baldur's Gate?

Don't think it's Minsc. Minsc has a shaven head, face paint, and would probably be askin' about Boo, not Mr. Fizzypop.

Sorry, nothing to contribute cameo-wise. I think the gnome mage on 56, row two, panel 3 is one of the built-in avatars for the board, though.

The whowaswhich now? I only know Lidda from the pictures in the D&D rulebooks. Did someone write novels about those characters? Or were the characters in the rulebooks based of a novel or something?

Edit: Ok, I just looked it up. I'm going to have to read those books. I'm also going to have to rent Wrath of the Dragon God. I saw it when it was on the Sci Fi channel, but I have got to listen to that commentary.

It seems like at least a reference to Minsc.

And many of the characters are based on the avatars. I think Belkar (http://www.giantitp.com/avatars/HalflingRangerGuy.gif), Durkon (http://www.giantitp.com/avatars/DwarfClericGuy.gif), Roy (http://www.giantitp.com/avatars/GreataxeFighterGuy.gif), and Haley (http://www.giantitp.com/avatars/RogueGirl.gif) are all directly based off of them.

I don't have my book with me so I can't prove it, but I do remember they have the exact same hair style and color, down to the weird squiggly part on his temples (I think) The reason I remembered this is becuase I was reading through it the other day noticed the similarity, almost started a thread, but then realized it wasn't worth it.
