Ghaunada(u)r made it into the Player's Handbook and the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide as a Great Old One, while Juiblex appears in the Monster Manual as a demon lord.
What do you think is the most likely canon regarding these two in 5e, inside and outside of Forgotten Realms? Are they the same entity? Has one impersonated the other at some point?
Also, the handmaidens of Lolth are oozes. Is there any connection between that and the aforementioned lord or lords of slimes? A ritual created and offered in an attempt to seduce Lolth, maybe?
