I have this wizard character starting stats:

11,11,12,12,13,16 rolled.

I have made him a forest gnome so the 16 is going into INT with the +2 for a total of 18 INT.

I am not sure what to do next.

I can start with 12 dex (11+1) and 13 con to take advantage of resilient (con) feat at level 4, INT ASI @ 8.

Or

I can start with 14 dex (13+1) and 12 con and take an int ASI at level 4, resilient @ 8, Lightly armored @ 12 if the campaign goes that long.

Or

I can do the 14 dex and 12 con and plan to take resilient at level four and lightly armored at level 8 (or vice versa), INT ASI @ 12.

It's a tough choice, so what would the play ground do?

16 - Intelligence (duh).

13 - Constitution (for Resilient, as you pointed out)

12 - Dexterity (mostly for multiclassing Rogue/Fighter, but raise it to 14 if possible)
12 - Wisdom (many skills and a good save tied to it)

11 - Strenght
11 - Charisma (not bad for dump stats, eh?)

That's it, I guess.

11,11,12,12,13,16 rolled.
- Mountaint dwarf 13 12 15 16 12 11 for AC16 with medium armor.
- Forest gnome 11 14 12 18 12 11 for AC19, but starting fighter.
- Forest gnome 11 14 12 18 12 11 for AC15.
- Rock gnome 11 12 14 18 12 11 for AC14.

Since you prefer forest gnome, I'd Dex14 and grab resilient(Con) at level 4 even if it ends up odd. Forget lightly armored and get Dex+2 instead. Or dip fighter at level 12.

If you really want better armor, start fighter to get Con and go straight to medium armor. That delays your spell progression and might jeer with your RP concept.

Would it not be better for him to dip cleric? That way he does not loose any spell slot progression so even if he does not get level 3 spells at 5 he at least gets the slots for casting lower level spells to bigger effect. :)

I'd need 13 wis for that

Multiclass is allowed so maybe I'll take a fighter level if it ever makes sense for rp. It would give armour and con save saving two feats. I'd rather do a rogue dip for rp, but that doesn't give con saves.

Heads up, you only get the save if your first level is Fighter.
