I'm currently building a 3.5 campaign and I have a great idea for a powerful Villainess my PCs will eventually have to destroy. But the problem is this: I don't know how to build her. I've tried a couple different things but she's not exactly what I want.
And so, I am throwing myself upon this forum of campaign-builders for help. Here is who she is:
Born from the experiments of Illithids, she was gifted with a strange power over the humours of the body (especially blood). As a child, she was taken from her creators and raised in a church devoted to the Aboleth goddess Piscaethces. She became a faithful worshipper of her goddess, never knowing the Church's true intention.
When she grew into a young woman and her abilities were evidently dangerous, the Church decided to sacrifice her to the Blood Mother. She rebelled against her captors and slaughtered the entire order guarding her. Now she skulks in the secret rooms of the blood-washed annex she was raised in. She performs illicit, powerful blood magics that have changed her body and created a dangerous concoction.
She will ask the PCs to find unique blood samples in exchange for healing items with a secret cost (a dangerous disease will manifest) or powerful acid or fire-based wondrous items. Neutral Evil to her unholy core, she performs blood draining tortures on her subjects, hoping to perfect a brew of blood.
Things I've tried:
Half-Farspawn Humanoid Wizard
Human Wizard/Blood Magus
Rogue/Sorceror with Aberration Feats
I NEED to create her eventually, but everything I've done has led to too high of a CR for my PCs to deal with. I need her to be between 10 and 12 CR (Class Levels + Race/Template Adjustment). I'm flexible about race, but I'd like it to be a Humanoid race. I DO NOT want a Vampire
I want her to appear as a humanoid, but will reveal her true ungodly abominable form when the group attacks. She is sensual and enchanting, but sees living creatures as blood sacs to be used and discarded
Anyone got any ideas?
