So, if you're talking about the weapon Dart then you have:
1d4 damage
X2 crit
20 ft range

The easiest way to get that is from the feat Far Shot which doubles your range increment with thrown weapons. (Nets 40 ft range with Darts)
You need Point Blank Shot but then you can take it.

There's a feat chain that ends with Ranged Weapon Mastery (PHB2) which isn't too bad. +2 (unnamed) attack/damage, and +20 ft to range increment.

Edit: more tricks
- Hawkeye spell
- Distance weapon enchantment
- Accuracy spell
- Near Horizon spell (negates range penalties)

Do you think that would all stack with Far Shot? If so, that could end up granting a total of 80ft range to the first category since the normal 20 ft for Darts +20 ft from the feat chain and then doubled from Far Shot. Although, don't you need fighter levels for Ranged Weapon Mastery?

It would help if you put pathfinder in the title. For those confused, deadly dealer allows you to use cards as if they were darts. Also getting more range can be hard in pathfinder do you need a longer range or will reducing the penalty work?

Distance weapons work if you need the range.
