Out of curiosity, what are the arguments for and against allowing casters to expend SLAs to fuel any of the many given iterations of circle magic?

Both versions of Circle Magic I'm aware of (FRCS and DMG) explicitly say "each participant casts any single prepared spell." I've never heard of an interpretation that allows SLAs before.

There are some others, like the Ghostwalk one(s?), and I think another Faerun one. Seeing how its almost inevitably cheesy, I never really looked into it much; but it came up at a recent session, so I'm curious.

The Halruaan Elder (Shining South) references the FRCS and DMG entries on circle magic. The Ghostwalk entry on circle magic also has the 'one prepared spell' line.
