Hey guys, could anyone explain to me why Craven stacks with Lightbringer Penetrating Strike but not the standard Penetrating Strike?

Also, could you give some examples of damage values? e.g 4d6+7, 2+8, etc...

Thanks!

Craven increases Sneak Attack damage. If something replaces Sneak Attack damage then it will not stack with Craven. If something alters Sneak Attack damage then it might stack with Craven.

5th level Rogue with craven
Sneak Attack: +3d6 (sneak attack dice) + 5 (craven)
Instead deal damage equal to half your normal sneak attack dice: +(3d6)/2
Deal half your sneak attack damage: +(3d6 (sneak attack dice) + 5 (craven))/2

So Penetrating Strike damage is not sneak attack damage, just normal damage, so does not stack with Craven?

But Lightbringer Penetrating Strike damage is bonus sneak attack damage and therefore stacks with Craven?

Because LightBringer's says that you get "Half of your Sneak Attack Dice" whereas normal Penetrating Strike says that you "Deal damage equal to half of your Sneak Attack" So its not actually sneak attack dice, which is kinda dumb frankly.

Edit: Ninja'd

I want to say that makes sense, but it doesn't really! :P

But I understand what it means. Thanks for the help!
