Barding with Beast Master

I really like the class. Like I hear all the stuff people hate but I really enjoy it! 3 attacks a turn; 2 from the wolf to knock then down then get stabby. Or two ranged attacks with a bow and use a dash action as a mount. Throw some rogue for sneak attack damage. Sooo good

Sorry for possibly rezing this, but would that Barding stack with the natural ac of the beast? So for a wolf who has a natural ac 13, would the armor add to that, or replace it? Like beast plate would bring it to 16 (14 + dex max 2) or would it higher since the wolf has natural ac of 13? I'm good either way, with a prof of 3 at level 7 he would have at least a 19 which isn't half bad

Note most companions don't rock the strength for full plate, and watch Dex for medium/light armor options

Ya that's why I was planning breast plate, since it's med and still gives the wolf his +2 dex mod
