Four Elements monk + any spellcasting multiclass question

A silly thought: If a Four Elements monk multiclasses with a spellcasting class, can you cast the ki powers (if they are spells) from your spell slots?

Agreed. This touches on the fact that there is no conversion factor between four elements monks and shadow monks in terms of calculating spell levels. Four elements ki spells cost = SL+1, while shadow = SL.

Not saying that's a bad thing, but it'd probably cause a lot of head butting between DM and player.
