The Bone Creature (BoVD) entry states that they get weapon finesse as a bonus feat, to apply to "any one weapon". Does this mean they can apply it to a non-weapon finesse weapon?

I think it means you can apply it to any of the natural weapons it already has or those it gets by acquiring the template, like the claw attack.

EDIT: which means no, it can't go against the common rules, unfortunatly... :smalltongue:

Ok, this is a 3.0 thing. In 3.0, weapon finesse was a separate for every weapon it could be applied to, like weapon focus. In 3.5 it changed to an across the board change. BoVD was 3.0, hence the weird looking feat description.

Oh god, you're right. Would you say I discovered the broadness of W.Finesse just a month ago? (^^;)

But are you sure BoVD is 3.0? I was damn sure it was 3.5... :smallconfused:

Thanks for the responses, I didn't realise BoVD was outdated. I was looking if there was a way of playing an intelligent skeleton PC.

Edit: without being a lich

Liber Mortis can give you some good idea, it even has undead base classes, like mummy and ghoul.

BoVD was first printed Oct 2002, about half a year before 3.5 I believe. BoED is the 3.5 one, in Oct 2003.
