The Creek

[Admiral_Kelly]

Coming in from an inlet from the ocean near the east side of town is a creek, most noted for it's scenery and wildlife. There are but a few houses dotted along the creek home to mostly fishermen. The main business establishment in the area is Missouri's Canoes, owned by an old kobold who never leaves the area. There is also a tavern (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50174) that serves various drinks although not as well known as Trog's.

Missouri's Canoes
They deal with everything to do with canoes and kayaks. You can also freely walk across their docks and go fishing or just to enjoy the view. Canoes can hold up to eight average sized human passengers and kayaks can hold one or two passengers.

Biedrick floats over the small community. Time for some fun. Biedrick fires his rifle into the air and yells "BEWARE MORTALS. I HAVE COME FOR YOUR SOULS. YOU MAY TRY TO RUN, BUT THAT WILL MAKE THINGS MOR PAINFUL. Biedrick looks down hoping to see if the townspeople have noticed the ghost floating over them.

He gets up, moves down to the edge of the creek and lies down

A squadron of 10 Lightning-class fighters flies towards him.(dragonprime's character.)
It's gonna be pretty painful for you if you don't stop, now. Go away, and stand down.

Metaflame srtches an itch on his left wing and looks at the fighters

this was so paeceful a few hours ago...

Biedrick looks at the fighters. "I'm a ghost you know. It's not exactly easy to hurt me. So go away and enjoy the scenery."

Well, are you capable of hurting other people? Also, it's not wise to tell TDI elements to "go away".

"Can I hurt people? Of course. And not just physically. I could posses your body and show you if you wish" Next time I should be more careful when I'm joking

A fighter flies to directly in front of him.

Biedrick floats into the cockpit of one of the fighters. "You're going to have to shoot at one of your own to get me now. Are you willing to do that?"

The psyker steps forward, and raises his hands.
I suggest you get out of here before you get hurt.
The pilot looks a bit unnerved.

"Get hurt? So you're willing to shoot down one of your own people just to get at a joking ghost?"

[LordVader]

Wow, you're stupider then I thought. I'm standing right in front of you. If you were joking, fine. We'll leave. But I suggest you avoid "joking" in Town, as there are plenty of individuals capable of killing you if they don't find it amusing.

Pik walks to the creek, and notices much Imperial Guard equipment leaving

yeah, though why did you cause a commotion earlier?

"Because townspeople fleeing at the sight of a ghost that's going to eat their souls looks funny." Biedrick looks at Pik and answers his question. "Oh nothing important. Just some crazy guys in spaceships trying to punish me for joking around"

well now that it's quieter, i'm gonna sleep

and he falls asleep

"So, new guy. You want to go scare some people?"

[Emperor Ing]

No...and I dont think that mischeif is funny...holy $#*& your a spirit!

"Yeah, a spirit over 1000 years old. Life, or unlife, gets kind of boring after the first 3 centuries. I try hard to entertain myself. I haven't done something like this in 72 years."

Metaflame rolls into the creek and begins floating on the surface

Oh...well care to introduce yourself?

"Yeah, I'm Biedrick. Born 1054 years ago. Killed and brought back as a ghost 1032 years ago... wait, what's he doing?" Biedrick points at Metaflame.

Metaflame floats peacefully on the surface

uhh..okay then...i'm Pik-Pik, Gray Jedi at your service.

[DraPrime]

Biedrick pulls out his rifle and fires a shot in the air. "You there on the water, what are you doing?"

Metaflame wakes up, not realizes he's on the water he looks over

floating? oh, right im on water... i assume my wings spead my weight over a larger area thus causign me to be lighter than the water i rest on, and not sink

Fascinating. I'll do my own relaxing underwater. I love not having to breath. Biedrick sinks into the water and lies down on bottom.

well i'm not quite on fire, yes fires burn from vasrts of me, but i can live if they're put out, hmm relxing underwater sounds quite nice actually, since i have no need of breathing either, i should try it

He dives under and rests on the bottom by folding up his wings

Metaflame suddenly rise out of the water at high speeds, as he reaches the surface he spreads his wings in a very grand looking pose above the water, then he sinks back to the bottom

pik almost faints, but because of his jedi training, doesnt. He instead walks away instead, appearing like he saw a ghost (metaphorically speaking)

Biedrick pokes his head out of the water. I'm getting us a boat. Wait here. Biedrick glides through the water to the docks. He finds and empty canoe, unties it from the dock, and brings it over to Metaflame and Pik. So, do you like it?

Metaflame flies out of the water and hovering slowly after Pik eventually catches him up

I just gotta get used to this place. I havent seen any sentients with wings, flames that dont extinguish in water, im familiar with disembodied spirits, but what about people whos head burns in a purple flame! I just gotta even it all out.

Biedrick looks around in disappointment as everyone seems to have gone somewhere. He flies up, and spots Metaflame talking with Pik.

Biedrick floats down next to Pik and Metaflame. So what's wrong with Pik here?

i think he's getting used to some of the differances here to most places... i wouldn't know much about it, i was created here...

I've experienced what Pik feels. I had to hide for 500 years to escape a demon. I never saw the anything in the world. When I finally stopped hiding the world had changed so much. You have no idea how sad I was when I realized everyone I had known was long dead. My house had been replaced with a prison. The only thing that's gonna help Pik is time. Time to get used to this world. Tell me Pik, did you ever being on a boat back on your wold?

He looks at the ground, lightly somber, then he looks up, smiling

Enough with the sad talk people. That's for dead people like me. I think we all came here to relax, not to wish the world was better. I got us a boat for free, so we might as well use it.

A burning, drunken black mage rolls past them and into the creek

pik watches BM roll past them, and smiles

BM who is now sober, swims to the surface and casts "dry" on his robes, he summons "punching bag" and "minigun" and exacts swift armageddon on the punching bag

Pik appears startled by the sudden minigun and punching bag

Deralia? Oh yeah. People in the cantinas there got drunk all the time. It was very amusing to watch them literally roll on the floor. Really good beverage made there called Deralian Brew. Its good, and I mean REALLY good!

Biedrick walks up to the BM. So, why were you on fire?

Bored with the calm, Biedrick flies away.

He conjures another punching bag and this time casts "summon random weapon of doom" Which reults in... A plastic bag with lasers stuck on it

Drunk? yes, fight? no, there are always stormtroopers on-duty inside, but they're very easy-going, so its easy to pretend theyre not there.

Biedrick comes back just to see BM trying to kill Pik. He watches, wondering what will happen.

He begins casting spells left and right

All the spells miss, and the spells do nothing else.

Biedrick decides to step in. Prepare to lose your body BM! Biedrick tries to force himself into BM's mind and posses his body.

He quickly casts a few trap spells around himself

Goodbye Biedrick turns invisible and floats above BM. He fires 5 shots strait down at BM's head.

The "shell" spell triggers and blocks all the shots completely

"This is one of the places I live at from time to time. There are plenty of birds to eat and the water is cool to drink. I also enjoy the peace and wuite from the Town."

Metaflame smiles and begins falling asleep again

a milkshake machine is working its way up the creek, dumping ice-cold milkshakes into the water. the effect is to cause slight flooding as the harbor is also blocked up.

a tissue box with an elf waitress comes bobbing in towards the creek. landing, she says alright. the kender, cook, and iris should be done by now. go get my sister.

milkshake mecha, lets do it.

the milkshake machine drops into the creek, and starts digging towards the town. ith the main entrace completley stoppered up, the water follows.

the ditch is getting closer and closer to the town. the tissue box zooms in with Iris, and she and her sisterr get to work on the town itself

Fred'n'Jane enter the creek Missouri's Canoes looking for a boat.

Jane speaks "Fred, all of these canoes are too big for you to row."

Fred responds "Heh, I'm not the one doing the rowing." he turns to a canoes seller, points to a freshly made canoe, and hands him the 200 gp.

"Now listen Fred; I'm not rowing your canoe for you even for a date, which as I keep trying to explain to you-"

"Save your tung. I wasn't talking about you." he opens up his bag of holdings and a zombie pops out. Jane shrieks.

"Ha-ha! Its okay; he obeys me. He was hostile at first but that Ichor Liquor stuff dose something funny to him. He obeys me since he knows I feed him. Also he ate someone's brain the morning so..."

"But are you sure you can teach him to row a canoe?"

"We'll find out!"

"Oh this should be great."

The three hop into the canoe and after about an hour the zombie knows how to row a canoe.

"Wow Fred. You've impressed me for once!"

"I have that effect on alot of woman."

Suddenly A_K appears in the boat. Fred and Jane look at him oddly.

"Hey! Your our player!"

"I thought we were going to stop this 'breaking the forth wall' thing..."

A_K answers "Yes, but I feel like I should have a word with you two before I take a necessary course of action. You see, I have too many charachters running about in the current story arch, so I'm going to have to-"

Fred gets fierce "Oh no you don't!" he summons a dagger "You are not killing us off if I can help it!"

A_K sighs and responds "Look, I never said I was going to kill you off. I'm just 'setting you aside' so to say."

"But what about my date with Lillith?"

"And my sales?"

"Those are not high up on the list of priorities right now. I've got AK; Giddian, Lori, and Rivo to handle plus several minor charachters and a newspaper to wright out. Once things boil over and resolve I'll get you back into the Town."

A_K suddenly disappears and a tidal wave from the other end of the creek rushes in and swoops the trio away in their canoe out to sea.

Fred's fanboy swims after him

Saand'ra approaches the creek, hungry. Suddenly, an advanced fighter spacecraft lands nearby. Out jumps a man in a spacesuit. "Greeting! I come from another planet and- oh dear god what are you-" He is unable to say anything more, for Saand'ra covers his mouth with one tentacle while eating out his brains. The spaceman stares off blankly.

"Mmm... Your's was delicious. Apparently I have learned more about the heavens. Let us go off and see what it has to offer."

The now-zombie spaceman and Saand'ra enter the fighter and head out for space.

Raril and Lori arrive at the creek; Lori holding onto Raril's arm. The moon is almost full, the area almost completely silent except for some crickets chirping, and the scenery has a certain beauty to it that is not apparent in the day. The place reminds Lori of a story she read in a book. She suddenly feels up in the clouds again.

And yet that voice returns...

Now you are really kidding yourself. He's working for a ninja, what more proof do you need that he is a criminal?

Raril lays himself down on the bank and stares up at the sky. "You know, we never had anything like this where I came from. No moon, no stars, no light at all. I'm really glad I came to the surface. It's really amuch better life. There is so much more beauty up here." He smiles up at Lori, the last line was obviously meant to be a compliment.

[Admiral_Kelly]

She lays down next to him on her side and smiles back at him. Catching the complement, she says "And I am also glad, for otherwise I would never have layed eyes upon someone as handsome as you." she thinks about kissing him, but the voice in her mind is nagging at her again to leave him, so she hesitates.

[Artemis97]

Raril grins and raises an eyebrow, apparently he's thinking along the same lines and leans in for a kiss.

[Admiral_Kelly]

Seeing him come, she stops hesitating. She grabs him and their lips meet once again, trying to make the first kiss last as long as possible. After the first, they kiss again, and again...

After awhile, Lori realizes that it has become late at night. They stand up and they embrace one last time before she says something along the lines of needing to do this again sometime; then saying goodbye as she leaves with feelings of joy in her heart.

Raril lets her go and lays back down on the grass, grinning up at the moon as he drifts off into sleep/deadtime.

Metaflame wakes up, yawning, a very quiet yawn for twenty days of sleep then flies off, still tired

A Phantom lands not too far from where Raril and Lori are/were, and opens it's bay doors to let out a mindflayer carrying two larvae and three thralls who appear to be naked, except for their underwear. The thralls are carrying a body of a dead mindflayer.

While this is happening, a large meteorite from orbit heads towards the town, in plain view from multiple locations.

The mindflayer and the thralls head for the woods. The mindflayer sees the meteorite coming and looks at it with curiosity (that is assuming it isn't heading directly for them).

Raril wakes up on hearing the familiar sound of the Phantom landing. He watches the Illithids from under the brim of his hat, but doesn't move and does a very good job of pretending to still be asleep.

The mindflayer dose not notice and continues into the woods.

[blackout]

The Phantom lifts off again, and another one lands in it's place. This one disgorges Nukular and his honor guard, which consists of his best 21 soldiers.

[Admiral_Kelly]

Missouri comes by. He is an old wrinkled kobold wearing a straw hat. He yells at Nukular and the honor guard "Why do all these flying machines keep landing around here? Don't you know you need a permit for that?"

:smallannoyed: We don't need no stinkin' permit...wait a minute, who are you, anyway? :smallconfused:

Raril continues to pretend to be asleep.

Something clicks in Nukular's head. Why am I wasting time talking to you?! Agh, forget it! We can't waste any time! If the Tiberium spreads beyond Ground Zero, I can't even THINK of the consequences. We need to find and contain it, fast! :smalleek: He sounds rather frantic.

Raril's ear twitches slightly, remembering tiberium being mentioned while he was investigating that phazon stuff. As he tries to remember hat was imprtant baout it, he deadtimes for 10-15 minutes.

Nukular looks around, and sees Raril lying around. :smallconfused: Is that Raril?

[Admiral_Kelly]

"Yes you do need a permit! Everyone seems to have forgotten about the Old Laws."

Another kobold wearing something of a dress walks by. "Sorry, Uncle Missouri is always thinking he owns the place. Uncle, those laws are no longer in effect, remember?"

"Bah, the Old Laws were for the best... And why is that drow taking a nap here?"

"Last night I caught him and a young lady kissing." the lady kobold giggles.

The old kobold is unamused. He sees Raril's ears twitch and walks over to him, giving him a kick. "Hey, you bum! Where do ya' think you are?"

Metaflame lands near the creek and looks into the water, staring at his relfection, wondering about things

Listen, I don't have time to talk. Did either of you see any kind of comet, or shooting star, or anything of the like in the sky earlier?

[Admiral_Kelly]

The girl kobold answers him. "Yes, it was headed towards the streets." she points in that direction.

[blackout]

Ah! Thank you! He barrels off towards the town, his honor guard following as fast as they can...and then they come back. Erm...was it green?

[Artemis97]

Raril takes the kick, grumbles and rolls over, apparently still asleep.

Metaflame sits down on the bank of the creek and lies down, looking at the sky

[Admiral_Kelly]

She answers "Yes it was."

Missouri calls for two of his workers. "Wake him up; I think he's drunk."

[blackout]

No need, I can wake him up. And thank you, miss. You've done the town a favor. Here. Nukular digs five platinum coins out of nowhere and hands them to the girl. :smallsmile: Enjoy, kid. He walks over to Raril, and digs out an air horn. He puts it up to Raril's ears, and hits the button. *super-loud air horn noise*

Nukular will likely find a dagger pressed to his throat. "What in the Nine Hells was that for?!" Raril shouts in his face angrily.

[Admiral_Kelly]

"Wow! Thank you sir!" she runs off to the Town with intent to spend the money she was given.

Missouri seems annoyed by the horn as well "That hurt my ears, and I'm hard of hearing. Now what were you doing around these parts; drow?"

Metaflame looks over at the commotion

He goes back to looking at the sky, absolutely nothing can make this guy unhappy

Nukular just makes a 'yapyapyap' motion with his hands, and puts the air horn away.

"What did you say? Oh gods! I've gone deaf! I'll never play another instrument again!" He seems terrified at the thought.

OH, DEAR GODS! YES! :smallbiggrin: Happy dance!

"Go see a doctor or something. Now GET OFF OF MY CREEK!" to say he seems mad would be an understatement.

Metaflame smiles to himself as an idea forms, he attempts to fly over the kobold pick him up and drop him in a shallow part of the creek

Raril frowns at Nukular then casts a few spell. the first removes his deafness, the second summons a giant Drum over the general's head.

[Admiral_Kelly]

Missouri feels himself being lifted into the air and his hat fall off. "Whoa! Hey! Put me dowwwwwwwn!" he falls into the shallow part of the creek, all wet and muddy. "Why you- Hey! Where's my hat?"

Metaflame gives him his hat

come on, lighten up a bit, i mean... you only get one chance at life...

He takes back his hat. All he can give is a "Harrumph." to Metaflame's remarks and he goes off to the Fisherman's Cove to buy a drink.

Apparently the general doesn't notice the falling percussion instrument, which will likely hit his head with a loud BANG!

"Faantastic!" Raril grumbles and lays back down on the bank.

Seeing as it's in the middle of the Streets, that's going to make movement difficult.

Well, we can handle it. I know how to handle Tiberium, how else could I create liquid Tiberium bombs the size of a tank?

Raril summons up is guitar and begins playing with a few chords, trying to write a song of some sort.

Ab summons a piano and starts playing a very complex instrumental song that he wrote. It's pretty good.

[Vhaidara]

(Ab's not singing.)

He unsummons the piano, bows, and levitates to Trog's.

Meh. Ok, let's roll. Nukular and his honor guard head for the streets again.

Raril Unsummons his guitar and crosses his arms over his chest. Apparently he's not pleased at being upstaged by a bookworm.

(A bookworm and a bard. The illumians are a race of multi-classing perfectionists. You seriously can't use half of their racial abilities if you're single classed.)

(Why do you think Ab left for the adventuring life? Illumian as a race love reading, as they are literly part panguage. Their founder fused their language into his body, and it's the same with all illumians. He likes them, while most Illumians are obsesed with them.)

((He's still more bookish than Raril will ever be, and he resents that.))

After a while Raril gets up and walks into town.

[Rex Idiotarum]

Rex walks down to the shore, talking to Lillith, "So I hear you want a PR person, a Spin Doctor, as it were? So, you understand what I mean when I said 'Words are a plague' and if left unchecked will disease the community?"

[Artemis97]

She nods. "It's a double edged sword, but when employed properly words can have a powerful effect on the community, and, hopefully, a positive one for us."

[Rex Idiotarum]

"Well, what do you think I've been doing? I wrote up quite a few speeches that emphasized parties that we drove away, AMEN, TDI, Order of Anarchy, and stressed the good we've done for this town, while toning down our few mistakes. You want a PR person. I've already been here. How's the council going? You'll have to poke your head up a bit more to get the election assured. I'm the friendly, but fierce father of the Town, now I need the sweet and caring mother of the Town. The person that... well, I can't even describe it. It's the person so sweet, that people can't help but vote for them. Write up a friendly speech on criminal reforms and community services, it's sure to get you elected." Rex pours half the pint into a cup, and offers the rest to Lillith, before sitting on the ground.

[Artemis97]

She accepts the cup and sits next to him. "Sweet and caring, huh? I wonder if I can pull that off. We have done a lot of good for the Town, I hope. The bar fights have died down some in Trog's, at the very least."

[Rex Idiotarum]

"I can pull of adviseful and friendly, I think you can pull off Sweet and caring. Just remember, with a speech, it's best to make the listener feel important. Really, would you rather vote for the person that subjects to the beliefs that you are the people who give him power, or the one that will do everything for you? The first one suggests you have power and are giving some to him, the second suggests he has the power and is graciously using it for you." Rex pours a packet of Oyster Crackers in his soul, and takes a spoonful. "Barfights have died down, to say the least, and I've armed the cops for just about everything. But that's the problem, we are facing everything, we have a very eventful month ahead of us, and the council is still vacant, we need elections as soon as possible if we are to handle the aliens, the undead, the little threats, the big threats, and the overall rebuilding of the Town afterwards. We have troubles, a lot of them, maybe too many for us to handle, but we can't let it get out of hand, and we must always look like the Superman, saving the day."

[Artemis97]

Lillith sighs. "We have a lot of work a head of us. The elections should be soon, Draken was asking for people to help tally the votes last time I looked. Maybe with a full council we can get things done properly."

[Rex Idiotarum]

"Not only that," Rex gestures up at the glowing orb in the sky, "It's a full moon tomorrow. Which means, it's Werewolf time. Make sure all our units are supplied with Silver, tonight, tomorrow, and Monday are going to be rough"
((It is true, so, if you go out tonight, bring something sharp and silver.))

[Artemis97]

"Great, first vampires, now werewolves. What have I gotten myself into?"

[Rex Idiotarum]

"Well, it's going to be one of the toughest weeks the police departments have ever had. Don't get overwhelmed. Remember to use our guns, they are multipurpose, and can handle just about anything, and don't be afraid to yell out 'TTPD! Freeze!' at people while you bust through doors all action hero like. The vampires have not been a problem. They hold their community on their own. The ancient I'm after though, is apparently part Succumbi, and you know how those are." He says with a sigh, "@#$% 'em and drain their blood is her game."

[Artemis97]

Lillith does not appreciate the comparison. "I'm half-sucubus, you know. And we take souls, not blood." she frowns and crosses her arms in a bit of a defensive posture.

[Rex Idiotarum]

"She's a Vampire Half-Succumbus." Rex replies, condescendingly, "That's where the blood thing comes from. But you don't deny the '@#$%ing' part."

[Artemis97]

"I suppose I can't. It's a part of me. A very dangerous part of me." The fiend sighs.

[Rex Idiotarum]

"Yeah, so, I'm going to have to tread really carefully. I don't know how powerful she is, but I know is there's anything that can completely @#$% with a man's mind, it's a Succumbus, and on top of that, a Vampire's own love of dominance. If I'm unlucky, I might actually get lucky." he says, confused.

[Artemis97]

Lillith laughs a little at that. "You should probably pack some magic items to prevent that. Mind Blank would work nicely, or Protection From Evil might be better."

[Rex Idiotarum]

((It's a good thing to note that the difference between 'Mad Dog' Rex and 'Psychotic' Rex is that 'Mad Dog' has more loyalty to what he swears himself to. 'Mad Dog' is still distant and carries that hatred of humanity, he just isn't willing to kill.))

Rex shrugs, "Maybe you're right. Although, I'll be able to hold off a domination by my self, and a Protection From Evil won't help me convince her not to drink blood and kill people."
((I have to get up early tomorrow, so I guess I'll go to sleep. Goodnight and deadtime.))

[Artemis97]

"No, but it would keep you relatively safe while you did. And do you really think you can convince her to change?"

[Rex Idiotarum]

"I could change." Rex says, before completely descending into Deadtime.

[Artemis97]

Lillith gives him a curious glance, wondering what exactly he meant by that. She would ask, but he was in deadtime and she soon followed him there.

A long time later she wakes up and teleports to Trog's.

[Admiral_Kelly]

Lori walks by the Creek with a shadow following her. She remembers the night she and Raril spent here among other things. She wanted him close to her again more than anything- especially since they had so much to discuss and plan their lives together...

[Artemis97]

The shadow decides to remain mostly hidden for now, leaving Lori alone with her thoughts.

[Admiral_Kelly]

A mindflayer wearing a labcoat suddenly appears from around the corner. Lori's eyes open wide at the sight of him and she screams. The mindflayer waves a hand in front of her and her expression becomes blank. Without even beckoning, Lori follows the mindflayer as he walks away.

[Artemis97]

The shadow starts moving as soon as the mindflayer appears. It tries to sink both of its claws into the Illithid, draining away his strength.

[Admiral_Kelly]

The shadow weakens the mindflayer with its attack. When he turns around trembling he senses a telepathic link to the shadow's summoner. He attempts to channel through that link and discover who is on the other side and further attempts to use a psiconic Dominate Person on the receiving end.

[Artemis97]

The mindflayer will find his spell hitting the proverbial brick wall. The Shadow strikes again, its red eyes glowing with anger.

[Admiral_Kelly]

The dominated Lori pushes the mindflayer out of the way and takes the hit, causing her to be weakened. The mindflayer will attempt to cast a psiconic Telekinetic Sphere (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/telekineticSphere.htm) around the shadow.

[Artemis97]

Congrats, you have an angry Shadow in a bubble.

[Admiral_Kelly]

The mindflayer continues on his way, Lori following him and the bubble containing the shadow in tow.

The Shadow bangs rather futiley against the walls of the bubble.

Semaj walks into the area, following Brie.

"I lost contact with my Shadow somewhere around here. Before that he told me he was in danger. He hasn't been unsummoned, and I think the woman I sent him to watch over was really the one in danger." Brie explains quickly, while searching the area for signs of recent passing.

Semaj nods, and he starts searching, but not with his eyes. He uses shadow abilities to try and connect with any traces of Brie's shadow, to determine what happened to it. While he is doing this, he speaks to Brie. I think our company has left.

[Artemis97]

Brie notices that the girl's corpse is missing. "He'll be back. He's rather persistant. The man who shot him, was hounded for quite a while to join the Church of Shadows, although, he never wanted to be a part of it in the first place."

Semaj isn't moving at all while he searches the shadows. Moose said that it started when he gave her a platinum coin because he thought she was homeless. You know, she asked me to join as well. I denied, of course.

[Artemis97]

Brie keeps searching. Artemis yells at Admiral Kelly. "I actually asked to join, out of curiousity. I was denied, well, i was never given a straight answer at the least."

Hmmm...I wonder why...

[Admiral_Kelly]

They will find the entrance to the cave leading to the Illithid Labs.

And wouldn't you know it, deadtime strikes Semaj.

Brie shrugs, then finds the door. "Well would you look at this?" She tries to open it, and if it's locked, unlock it.

It is unlocked, so it opens without a problem.
