So for an upcoming campaign, Im going to be rolling a halfdrow character, (Shes the daughter of one of my previous characters who made it with a drow and had a kid with her)
That said, i wanted her to follow in her fathers wizardry footsteps, but with a drow twist. And so I settled on Spellwarp Sniper, hitting things from the shadows with spells seemed appropiately drow like.
In my build I had planned to take leadership, the only catch is wizards have familiars, which would reduce my leadership score and make my cohort weaker now I could always simply not summon one, but that would be a waste of a class feature, and as an optimizer, that simply wont do.
So I decided to trade it away and I ended up looking for ACF's for wizards.
And I found the specialist varients, which you can trade away your familiar for some cool things (Abrupt Jaunt in particular caught my eye)
But as a half elf, I am eligible for the Generalist Elf substitution level meaning If I take it, I cant specialize and therefore loose access to the specalist acf's.
So which would be better for my purposes?
