I see a number of acronyms and terms being thrown about these boards like rubber balls at a juggler's convention.
Some of these terms/acronyms include:
RAW: (Something to deal with the Rules as they are provided in the books. Is this "Rules As Written"?)
Gestalt: Which seems to be come manner or another of multiclassing (Usually involving a mundane and magickal class such as killthings1//castspells1, and it always uses the silly double / thing)
and finally:
IIRC: Which, I have no clue what it means.

Anybody willing to enlighten me?

Common Acronyms, Abbreviations, and Terms (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18512), from the sticky at the top of the page.

Gestalt characters (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/gestaltCharacters.htm) are characters using variant rules from Unearthed Arcana to combine two classes.

I looked, and did not find, therefore, this thread.
After a few run-thorughs, I found (finally) IIRC.
I'm going to assume I'm correct on RAW unless told otherwise, becuase it makes sense to me.

Word search. Ctrl-f , then type in your search string.

for gestalt : check the link Iku gave, it's a rule variant.

basically, you combine any two base classes and get the best of the two for your char, including class features for both.
this is meant for high poweplay, and gets really complicated as soon as you add cross-classing and prestige classes :smallwink:

for the forums: a gestalt char will be noted as
"one side here/misc cross classes//other side here/some more crossclassing"
