So I'm thinking of trying to make a Tattooed Sorcerer Dragon Disciple. Now, I know that I lose the claws, but I was also thinking of picking up Eldritch Heritage with Ghoul to combat this...

Now I know that this isn't optimal.. But do you guys think it is manageable? Starting level is 4.

What are you trying to accomplish that straight Dragon Disciple wouldn't?

Part of the reason I want to is fluffyness, the other is that I like the options that Tattooed give me in regards to the magic tattoos and the familiar.

It's doable, but I don't know if its worth doing. Don't get me wrong, I understand the appeal of being able to sprout claws, but it'll never be a really efficient weapon. Sorcerers have terrible BAB and DD only have a moderate BAB, so you'll have trouble hitting anything that's a level-appropriate challenge. I'd say just ignore the loss of the claws and focus on your magic, or if the desire to take Eldritch Heritage is still there, go for a different Bloodline.

From Draconic Tattooed Sorcerer you'll get +1 damage/die on one energy type and +1 CL on one school (& your bloodline spells). Which sounds like you want to be a blaster. From Dragon Disciple 4 you get +4 STR, +2 natural armor, an additional use of your breath weapon, and a bite which only shows up when you use your bloodline to grow claws. Which last you can't do, since eldritch heritage is not your bloodline class feature. And you lose a spellcasting level though you can get the CL part of it back via a trait.

It looks like it could be a viable blaster who has the strength to deliver touch attack spells when necessary - it can be easy to miss with poor BAB and unimpressive physical stats even on touch attacks. White or silver dragon blood gives you the extra damage on spells like frostbite or frigid touch, or snowball at range. You might also occasionally polymorph into something with a bunch of natural attacks.

If you want, here are some ideas:

Why just dragon? I think that this animal together with the flower motive (look on the sites with the flowers (just as an example))will look more natural as these creatures were living among the nature. What do you think???

While technically DD only have mid BAB, they also get +4 STR in the first four levels, so overall your accuracy is 1 point better than full BAB. Now, I wouldn't suggest adding Power Attack on top of your middling accuracy, but DD can be solid melee combatants, even coming from straight sorcerer.

At level 9 (Sorc 5/DD 4) they'd be a total of 4 BAB behind a full BAB class, but they'd get that +4 STR and the full BAB would likely be using either TWF of PA, while all nat attacks are at full BAB. So, the DD would be either equal or slightly above the accuracy of the martial's first attack if you ignore other accuracy boosters (weapon training/smite/rage etc.), and the DD would probably be a bit more accurate than the martial's iterative(s) after those accuracy boosters (assuming the martial is using PA or TWF).

So - not amazing, but I think that a DD can do pretty well in melee - they're just probably better off using the first round or two buffing themselves and their buddies. And if you are going to melee, nat weapons are the way to go as it is affected less by their low BAB.
