need help with a core only detective bard

Hello everyone! so i'm making a bard for a upcoming campaign. it core only (CRB, DMD, MM1) i'll be making a bard who is actually a detective/investigator, but travels under the guise of a bard. you know people are willing to talk with a bard then a detective. :smallwink: my stats (not in any order let) 16, 15, 11, 17, 12, 16. now here's where i'm stuck, i want to be equally good at investigating, being a bard and being good at some combat when possible. So i need advice with race, feats, spells, stat arrangement, Etc. this is technically my first bard character so i have no experience building one.

Well damn...
You prolly want
Int > Cha > Dex > Wis > Con > Str
You need as many skillpoints as you can get; being a detective is very Perception / Sense Motive dependent
Barding needs the Cha
And the Dex is needed for combat and ac ; ranged or finesse weapons are a must
