Seeking input on psionic item treasure.

In our current game we've just come upon the body of my character's master. He and his party died in combat. My character is a Shaper (Metacreation psion) as was my master. The DM told me I find a significant psionic item which will help my character in his journey.

I'm stumped. What should my character find?


My character is level 4 his master was 15+.

A +1 psychic defending gauntlet or a torc or power preservation (xph version, not the mic version).

Both are useful, overpriced, and won't be traded out for something better in five or six levels.
