Anyone know of a good random generator for spitting out random character traits/personality quirks?

The DMG has one on page 128, but it's only got 99 traits.

Seventh Sanctum has a few generators for producing characters with a variety of traits, including this one (http://www.seventhsanctum.com/generate.php?Genname=generalperson).

There's Donjon's (https://donjon.bin.sh/5e/random/#type=npc) (and now d20srd's (http://www.d20srd.org/d20/random/#type=npc)) random NPC generator, which always includes a few traits. I'm not sure how extensive the list is, though.

You might also try looking in the 5e Player's Handbook, they've got a whole personality generating thing going there.
Not a huge number of options, but...

Seconding this suggestion. The different backgrounds and their associated lists of traits are a very good starting point to develop a character's background if you don't already have something specific in mind.

I actually found Iwakuroleplay (https://misc.iwakuroleplay.com/generators/index.php), which has a pretty neat generator.

i wrote a pretty advanced npc generator in c++. generates stats and based on stats there is a probability of it being one gender or another, an npc class or a pc class, and then one class or another. kind of funny that my antivirus thinks it's a threat....

was meant for populating settlements with npcs. based on the stats and class you could get an idea of the profession and economic level of the npcs, making it easier to design detailed settlements.

One I like is one I can't say without censorship, but the location is here (http://www.whothe****ismydndcharacter.com/)

Turns out it censors the hyperlink as well... Just substitute the asterisks for the "F-word"
