Exactly as the title says. If I wanted to play a ghost PC (most likely using the online savage progression (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/sp/20040117a)), what classes could I take that would work well with it? I've heard that Master of the Unseen Hand could be fun, but I don't particularly feel like using it. I would like Charisma synergy, of course, but it isn't a requirement, and I can't really think of any good classes for that other than casters.

Rogue

Whether as the unseen manipulator, the legendary thief, or even the unstoppable assassin, you know you want to try a ghost rogue.

Ghostwalk has the Eidolon and Eidoloncer base classes which actually require you to be a ghost. Ghostwalk also has feats and other things for ghosts.

Just search this site for either class. You'll find things like the Eidolon Handbook (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?239930-3-5-The-Eidolon-Handbook-Any-feedback-is-appreciated-)).

Rogue is good as is factotum
Warlock or Binder are pretty handy
Master of the Unseen Hand is pretty amazing

And there is this handbook (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=10975.0)
Because there's handbooks for e'erthing

Hmm, certainly an interesting idea... Especially since an incoporeal creature's attacks bypass armor, shield, and natural armor bonuses to AC. Normally I'm not one for playing Rogues, but I'll have to seriously consider it.

Mmm, most of those assume you use the ghost template from that book, which... It's okay with the feats and classes, but if you don't want to use those, the savage progression seems strictly better. Plus, then I'd have to talk with the DM about if it's okay to incorporate part of all of a campaign setting book into an already established setting. Not something I'm particularly interested in. Thanks anyways, though!

I've already looked through that handbook, but it doesn't have a ton of information on what to use for classes, save for MotUH and using Legacy Champion/Uncanny Trickster to advance the savage progression.

Shadow sun ninja is probably cool if you do go a sneaky attacky route. Heal the party and yourself; health the party and harm your enemies

Playing a ghost as a pc is pretty hilarious regardless of class.
If I were you then I would go with rogue and then max out feats/skills/etc related to possession.

It is FUN to possess an NPC for example.

Or if in a fight with multiple enemies, then it's fun to possess one of them and use him to clubber the rest of them.

However, possession might only be available to a ghost pc that uses the ghost template with LA
