Magic equipment sets?

Are there any magic item sets like the ones in the MIC listed anywhere else in 3.5 or PF, specifically for a bard. The bard themed one in the MIC is a little lackluster.

I think Eberron has some... Forge of War has the War Regalia of Galifar, at least. Eberron's pretty good about incorporating newer mechanics, in general, probably since it's the more recent campaign setting.

Complete Champion has some, but if anything they are even worse.

I don't know if the "bard themed" set in MIC that you refer to is this one, but the Regalia of the Hero in MIC is pretty good for a Bard.
The Badge of Valor adds +1 to your inspire courage.

The horn of resilience lets you add an additional 50 temporary hit points to a recipient of your Inspire Greatness (tie it on a string around your neck so you can immediately free actio drop it).

The helm isn't that great, encourages your party to flank for an extra +2. But the collection bonus lets you grant another an extra move action (enabling your fighter to pounce).
