Page 78 of Start of Darkness (vague spoiler)

On page 78 of Start of Darkness, there is a picture where Right Eye shouts out to the patrons in the bar "Who in this tavern is an adventurer?". This was 21 years before the start of the OOTS. There is a figure with a helmet and a T shaped cutout to see out of. It's not identical to the one Tarquin was wearing when he first appeared in the comic. But 21 years previously, he would have been a low level adventurer unable to afford the coolest helmet. it would have been off-the-rack. Has it even been discussed whether or not that helmeted figure is Tarquin?

It actually has been discussed, though I can't find the link off the top of my head. The conclusion was that there's no reason to think it was him, though, because that kind of helmet has been worn by other characters in the comic.

I think I speculated this too and was shot down. Don't feel bad.

I head-canon that Tarquin may have gone on a business trip away from the Western Continent and stopped for a quick drink in that tavern. So, still not impossible for it to have been him, if you want to believe that it was; although there's no reason to think it was, as stated above.

Nale is 21... (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0258.html)or was during the Cliffport arc at least. Considering Nale and Elan are twins, I'm not entirely sure how that works, but I think it means Elan is around the same age.

It was established that Tarquin went to the Western Continent, so that means before that he wasn't there. Meaning the kids were born in the Northern Lands. And his wife Elan's Mother, was a bartender. So... this could very well be him.
