Almost a year ago, I was saddened by the end of the Stick Awards (second version) and, bored, started an awards ceremony for all the strips who received no votes in those awards.

(un?)Fortunately for me, these became pretty popular, and so now I am going to make a tournament for these really good, bad strips.

Here's the format: We will have 4 semi-finals, each with 8 strips. (The last will have 7 because, reasons). At the end of the 4 semi finals, the 4 weekly winners, along with the 2 wild card strips that received the most votes among the non-winning strips will go into a final round.

Last week's winner was http://www.giantitp.com/forums/images/smilies/oots/xykon.gif 376 All Too Easy (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0376.html) with 7 votes.

#18 leads the Wildcard race with 6 votes, and #224 and #333 are tied for 2nd with 4 votes each.

After the finals, we will have an "Ultra-Brick Awards" for all the strips that received no votes during the Brick Awards.

And here they are!!!

#434 with #392 a close second.

I'm going with #489 for its graph.

#392. "It's not like they're gonna get invaded before they can repair it, you know."

489 - The baseline graph.

434. Oh Xykon, you mostly-mellow villain with shades of M. Bison and a honey badger.

469 I love Skullsy, and I just adore the fact that The Belkster genuinely thinks that Haley has a ton of sentient toilets...

Tough. The ethical question of whether Roy is shielding Belkar from the consequences of his actions is very interesting, and I like reading Roy's take on it. But in the end, 392 gets the edge for being a triple strip with lots of great little touches.

Oh...this is so hard to pick.
I've narrowed it down to my top 3: #392, Death from Above because Elan and Captain Scoundrél are just so good together. Julio's conversationality, the prophetic irony of his statement "it's not like they're gonna get invaded before they can repair it", Elan's dramatic instincts, the Captain's amazing quote "It doesn't matter if you win or lose as long as you look really cool doing it" is totes amazing, Elan looks so suave and cool, and to top it off, Thog's brick joke.
#541, He's a Gamblin'...Thing is another one, with O'Chul: the larger panel is really neat and the Monster in the Darkness is so cute and I love O'Chul's facial expression.
And, #562, Heroic Fantasy is also great. Therkla's pretty awesome as well, especially in the last panel. She's intelligent, cute, and I love her hair.

Actually. . .
I was gushing so much about #392, so much more than the other two.
So, #392, Death from Above is my favorite

Strong batch. I well like 562 and 434, I like 489 even more, but my favorite is far and away 392.

I'm going 489 for the graph, baseline comparison, and units of measure.

469 because some players would try to use a skull as an intimidate activated wand.

434 second because you could feel Roy's frustration

The acid shark is definitely great, but Elan's first level of Dashing Swordsman and his dramatic entrance wins easily. 392.

#469 has one of my favorite jokes of all time. But 392: Death from Above is the capstone to one of the funniest and most delightful mini-storylines in all of OOTS. I think I have to vote for it.

I wish I could cast my vote for 2 strips at once. Alas, The Lady's choice came in 2nd place for me. I have to go with 434 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0434.html), for Xykon's continued blase forgetfulness about his past murdering, plus the crown gag. "Badass. (puts on crown) REALLY badass."

Xykon, the lich we love to hate.

almost went with the REALLY BADASS 434, but 392 is just too good.

Wow, I can't believe #574 got no votes! I thought it was one of the funniest strips in the lot. Oh, well.

#18 still leads the Wildcard race with 6 votes, but #224, #333 and #489 are tied for 2nd with 4 votes each.

Thanks :)
Doesn't change anything with the wild cards, but it's fair to a fine strip.
