This must have been discussed at some point, so I'll keep the question brief. What has Thor been doing while his high priest is, well, occupied? Even though he's generally absentminded, wouldn't he notice something wrong when the Godsmoot took place without him?

What are you talking about? His High Priestess is at the Godsmoot and she casted Thor's vote right here (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0999.html).

Or are you talking about Durkon? Durkon isn't and never was Thor's High Priest.

What? The Godsmoot didn't take place without him; his high priest relayed his No vote (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0999.html).

I might be reading too much into your post, but... did you think Durkon was his high priest or something?

That's what I get for not double checking first. I must not have registered the Thor panel or other related comments enough to remember them. And Durkon's been Hel's high priest for a large amount of real time, so I must have blurred the lines there. He was never Thor's high priest.

Can Thor sense when an ordinary priest turns into a vampire, or converts for some other reason? Or is their interaction limited to prayer times?

Durkon's a fairly high level priest, so i imagine he's on Thor's radar. And, while not outright stated, it's heavily implied that Thor is quite upset with the vampire, wheb the Mechane passes into the Northern lands.

Thor actually said he likes Durkon personally (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0353.html)and was willing to pull strings for him (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0453.html). So I'm guessing he was at least moderately ticked when Hel arranged for Durkon to get vamped, but according to their rules there was nothing he could really do about it directly. He just had to generally express his displeasure and hope the other mortals figured it out.

Huh, I thought in 353 he implied he actually liked Durkon rather than just some vague interest in the battle.

... when Hel arranged for Durkon to get vamped ...

This never happened - Hel caught a lucky break (a few lucky breaks really).

You saw her skill in manipulating the others of the Northern Pantheon, are you sure she couldn't have influenced Nergal to influence Malak? Especially if Nergal wanted the world to end for his own reasons. I mean the West did drop a Yes vote, so if Hel cut a deal with him that she could swing a Yes vote in the North if she only had a high level cleric, that might mean she set the whole thing in motion.

Or I could be speculating WAY to much on limited info. :D

So I wouldn't put any bets on Hel having influence on Nergal.

Re: What's Thor up to
What he's always up to.

Drinking
Wenching
Tossing lightning bolts about
Now and again mixing it up with giants and their deities
