So my party has defeated a Drider that was a conjurer (Banned enchantment/evocation)

I could use a hand filling out the spellbook for loot purposes.

0: All
1: Mage armor, Summon Monster I, (blank x9)
2: Invisibility, Summon Monster II, (Blank x5)
3: Improved Mage Armor, Summon Monster III, (Blank x3)
4: Illusory Wall, Summon Monster IV, (blank)

Should include some buffs at 3 or less, due to Imbued Summoning.

Acid splash, amanuensis, arcane mark, caltrops, candlelight, dancing lights, daze, detect ghost, detect magic, detect poison, disrupt ectoplasm, disrupt undead, electric jolt, flare, ghost sound, horizikaul's cough, launch bolt, launch item, light, mage hand, mending, message, no light, open/close, preserve ectoplasm, preserve organ, prestidigitation, ray of frost, read magic, repair minor damage, resistance, silent portal, slash tongue, sonic snap, stick, touch of fatigue, and unnerving gaze.

There are 37 cantrips in 3.0 and 3.5. So that means 37 pages with nothing else in them.

lets not go for ALL all in the cantrips
let's go for... 9

0:
Read Magic (is a must, let's have it as a bonus one, a design on the cover)
Amanuesis
Arcane Mark
Detect Magic
Prestidigitation
Acid Splash
Caltrops
No Light
Slash Tongue
Touch of Fatigue

Well, at least one orb spell. Lesser orb of acid, for example. Dimension door is a good one. Polymorph, too - your players may appreciate that, if they don't have it already. Same with alter self, and you can't go wrong with haste.

So my party has defeated a Drider that was a conjurer (Banned enchantment/evocation)

I could use a hand filling out the spellbook for loot purposes.

0: Core (Read magic on cover)
1: Mage armor, Summon Monster I, Lesser Orb of Acid (blank x8)
2: Invisibility, Summon Monster II, (Blank x5)
3: Improved Mage Armor, Summon Monster III, Haste (Blank x2)
4: Illusory Wall, Summon Monster IV, Dimension Door

Should include some buffs at 3 or less, due to Imbued Summoning.

Excellent suggestions. As the wizard was a Drider, I decided against alter self.

More please.

To be fair, he would have had alter self BEFORE he became a drider. Wizards don't learn alter self until level 3 or 4, and drow arent tested by lolth until around level 6, at which point he failed and became a drider.

(Only from core. I'm unsure what books you have)
1st level: Alarm, Shield, Comprehend languages, Identify, Ray of enfeeblement, Protection from good, Grease, Expeditious Retreat.
2nd level: Fog cloud, Minor image, Mirror image, Cat's grace.
3rd level: Dispel magic, Stinking cloud, Fly.

That fourth level blank is looking like solid fog or black tentacles to me.

Okay, we're talking about an alien creature from an alien culture. We need spells that are far more unusual, from unusual sources.

Reserve a couple pages for alchemical recipes: saving at least 3 pages for instructions on how to make the "the calling" poison (DotUD) would not be remiss

Read magic is pointless to write down in a wizard spellbook, as all wizards can prepare it from memory.

That's why it's on the cover. It's decoration.

So I skimmed through Drow of the Underdark and picked out the following 1st-3rd non enchantment/evocation spells; granted, some are a bit pointless after becoming a drider, I imagine, but that's life for you. :smalltongue: I ignored the spells that required the "drow" component:

1st—combat readiness, lesser spider form, snuff the light
2nd—magical backlash, shadow double
3rd—engulfing terror, spider form
