As instructed, the Palawan Consular named Litra Madro awaits her master on the Seeker, the citadel cruiser that the Jedi Council had modified for their mission. The young adult Miraluka female helps the Durese pilot named Briden thoroughly check over all the ship systems. She enlists the aid of her R2 astromech droid, which she playfully named Toodie. She'd been saving every credit she earned since becoming a padawan to purchase the droid, something she'd always been interested in owning. Knowing the value of such a droid to a mission like this, her master, and even the Jedi Council, had supported this desire of the padawan. The Council always get a discount on droids since they purchase them in quantity.
Though she's only known Briden since becoming a padawan, she has always implicitly trusted him, since he has been a friend and trusted partner of her master for years. She knows little about him, other than her master had been instrumental in rescuing him from slavery in his youth, and that he’s an excellent pilot.
She knows this is a very important mission, not only from what little her master told her, but from the fact that they have a cloaking device powered by one of the extremely rare Stygium Crystals installed on the Seeker. This, among other enhancements not normally found on many ships, leads her to conclude that they’re about to embark on an extremely challenging and probably dangerous mission. She’s convinced they will certainly face many dangers, in space, and on various planets and space stations they might visit.
Already somewhat excited to be assigned a mission, even if it is her master’s mission, these facts and her very active imagination build up her anticipation and exhilaration. Briden also seems excited, though she thinks it’s mostly due to anticipation of piloting the highly modified ship. He’d obtained this ship years ago through gambling, and her master had paid for the needed repairs to make it operational, thus becoming equal owner. Briden had been piloting it for years, but not since all the fancy modifications the Jedi Council had approved and funded were installed. Litra sits in the copilot chair and calms herself with some meditation for several minutes, remembering the words of her master to control her emotions, particularly in times when they are running high and affecting her thoughts.
Just as she centers her emotions, her master enters the ship…
